Been away from the site for a while as have been so busy with life . I was denied a second time pip so sm having to appeal now which has caused me greater anxiety over the last month .my medication has doubled and am still trying different pain meds for my fibro symptoms to no avail and the cost is building up. I've started using a walking stick wen I'm having a flare as the pain in my feet is so bad ,I also have trouble with my eyes being foggy although I wear glasses this doesn't seem to help and I constantly feel as though I can't focus.was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem x

Just like yourself i have severe oain in feet & legs, so sore that made it veey painful to walk, what i find is i have to let it take its toll & eventually it eases off, can take hours, days or even weeks. Today it seems a bit better but eyes & headache are still there. Fingers keep going numb, thats another issue. Pls let me know what your gp says about yoyr eyes & headaches. Meantime take care. My hugs to to you.x. Babs

Hi Wounderland89

I am sorry to hear your appeal has been denied for pip do you have any specialists involved like the chronic pain team ,physio ppl , or any psychology help ? as they will be able to give you back up to support your claim, unfortunately your eyesight can be affected I've just had my appointment at the optician and discussed the affects it has on my eyes and sadly there is nothing that can be done I can only focus properly for a short period of time and I am unable to read for any longer than around 10 minutes before my eyes start to blur its to do with the muscle in the eye and how it's affected by the Fibro it is a reconised symptom of the illness and the optician told me that nothing can be done about this my prescription is up to date and that's all that can be done. I feel for you on the fact you have been denied Pip as you have a disabilating illness which causes so many health problems did you tell them in detail how badly you are affected and could you go and get support from any of your healthproviders? you have my sympathy I hope i have been of some help good luck and persevere with your claim x take care .

I do have physio on a weekly basis and am being referred to pain clinic so hopefully that will get things moving. My gp agrees I am unfit to work at this time so I can't understand how I'm supposed to live if I'm not getting pip, my partner supports me but it's not enough and I don't have my own money. I struggle to pay for all my meds and it just makes my anxiety worse. Hopefully I win the appeal as I don't know how long I can cope otherwise. X

I presume you are in the UK. Just a thought with all your meds have you thought of having a prepayment certificate as it can work out so much cheaper than paying for them individually.

A three month PPC costs £29.10 and could save you money if you need more than three prescribed items in three months

A 12 month PPC costs £104.00 and could save you money if you need more than 12 prescribed items in a year.x

sorry to learn of your PIP problems I do hope you can sort them out, Have you got help from C.A.B because sometimes just the wording on the answers you give makes a difference, also if you put help with benefits in............ and then type in your local area you will get a list of organisations that help with form filling as sometimes there is a long wait at the C.A.B, apologies if you already know this, good luck pet xx

I did have help with the forms from an independent advice service so they have been doing all the form filling as I find it to overwhelming. Thanks for advice though .x

Welcome back to the forum, and it is wonderful to hear from you. I am so genuinely sorry to read about your PIP application, and I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with your appeal.

I am so sorry to read that you are experiencing difficulties with your vision and I was wondering if you have been to the opticians, as Fibro can affect the eye muscles according to my option.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

I have been to the opticians a few months ago and my eyes were the same still apparently so my glasses should work but the foggyness has gotten worse so ill probably get another test soon just to check. Thanks for reply (0:
