I've relatively new to this forum too. I have no familiarty with that drug. The pharmacist can likely help you with information about side effects and potential withdrawal possibilities...if any. Just wanted to send some understanding your way regarding the frustration with difficulties with Fibromyalgia. Take care.

Hi there
Are you coming off the Duloxetine at the moment?
I started this medication last year and had some awful side effects so I stopped taking it.
As I had only been on it for a few weeks the withdrawal was not too bad.
I am not medically trained so I don't know whether you get the same side effects when you start a medication as you do when you are coming off them.
Have you read the leaflet that comes in the box with the tablets? It should give you a list of withdrawal symptoms.

Hi Kurny
Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted you a link below to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information: fmauk.org/
I am so genuinely sorry to read that you have been suffering and struggling so much and I sincerely hope that you can find the answers that you are looking for. I have never taken Duloxetine so I cannot help you with this, sorry.
I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Yes I had hideous withdrawlike from Duloxetine. I wasnt advised this by my GP so it came as a real shock. I ended up taking the capsules apart and removing 10 grains for a week, then 20 grains the next week, 30 the week after etc etc. It took me about 3 months to get off them. Good luck.
I've been on them for 3 years now, and I've found they have helped me a bit, I've had no side effects, but I do know if I have forgotten to take it, I get a wee bit light headed but other than that I'm fine, could not take gabapenten so asked for duloxetine instead and I lost 26lbs with them as well. Now down to 10st 9lbs, best wishes x
I have been on 30mg Duloxetine for over 10 years. When I started I had no side effects that I can remember, but know after a few hours if I have missed a dose as I get an almost physical feeling of despair. I would love to stop taking them as the depression for which I was prescribed them (before fibromyalgia diagnosis) was understandable as I was feeling so tired and sore. Now I am taking Nature Throid, many of those symptoms have gone but I know it will take time to stop this drug. Good luck!!
