Severe pain in feet
Hi there
You've probably already tried this, but soaking your feet in a bowl of warm water with some Epsom Salts may help.
The other thing is to lay a warm wheat bag over your feet.
I get this pain. Once it's got a grip it is very painful.
All the very best. Lu xx
I have Plantar fasciitis doctor thinks the way I walk is probably the reason when another name is joggers heel which isn't something that should happen with "ungainly walking gait" as OT called it.
Special insoles in my shoes and keeping feet up as often as I can helps me.
Have you tried support socks. I take meds for mine but it's related to diabetic neuropathy. I also wear soft soled shoes a lot but I was raised wearing them so that's my choice. I have a friend that has shoes that were made for her feet. They are expensive but she had to get them. They took a mold of her feet and made shoes to support her feet where they needed extra support.
I am so genuinely sorry to read this and this is something that I suffer with on a regular basis. As 'onceagain' says she has Plantar fasciitis and this can cause all kinds of foot pain. I would check it out with your GP just to have other medical conditions ruled out of the equation.
I tend to soak mine in an emollient water but it does not help for long. I want to genuinely and sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
You can ask your GP for a referral to an NHS Podiatrist, they will look at how you are walking, and see if there is anything they can do to help. Mind you, I'm still waiting for an appointment after being told I'd be referred in November!
Good luck with getting it sorted. MariLiz
I've had pain like this forever! I was sent to foot doctors and physiotherapy which didn't work in fact it made it worse! After numerous trips to the docs I demanded an Mir scan . They found severe arthritis in both my feet and loads of unwanted fatty tissue! I have been referred now for steroid I.ejections in my feet which I'm dreading but if it helps so be it! If they don't work they said they could operate, you have to be firm with the doctors and tell them you're not happy, I wouldn't have known if I didn't have that M.R.I. scan! The fibromyalgia is connected with arthritis I think my feet swell up that much some days that I can t even get my shoes on! It's not nice I know what you're going through just be persistent! Good luck! Xx
Shaz...sorry about your pain. I had an entire week of foot, heel, and entire calf pain. I was walking everyday in Disney for my vacation with my family. I put coconut oil with lavender oil on my feet and heels every night. Helped, but pain wouldnt go away. I finally put my compression sock on to see if it would help, and it did. I think the pain is related to weak veins. Not sure. I have had pain in my left leg for awhile now. Hope things work out for you.
