In the space of seven months my body has gone into revolt ( or should that be revolting) mode. In April I managed to get a Temporal Arteritis, whilst at the same time being diagnosed with fibro. Then three weeks ago I get an out of the blue phone call from G.P's. asking if anyone had phoned with my latest blood test results ???
Me: er no ?
Nurse; are you going to the loo a lot ? Are you drinking a lot more.
Me; er yes could be.
Nurse; Right it has been confirmed that you have Type 2 Diabetes !
After this bombshell when I got off the phone I just burst into tears ! Really have had enough now. Please could someone send me a new body...Thank you in anticipation.

Although I finally got this one broken into🤔🤔🤔I just don't think I would want to start from scratch and do it all over again🤔🤔. Then again with all the cool baby stuff now days🙄🙄. Nope I like me and if I had to go through it all over again😳😟😱😱😩😩😩😭😵😲😩😖😣no please don't make me. I think I will just stay me. Going through it once was enough!!!! Wow you can have a conversation with yourself😹😹😹😹😹😹ok I have lost it people I need💤💤💤💤💤💤💤
You have my sympathy!! I was diagnosed with fibro quite a few years ago (had it since 2000) but got the diabetes-2 news a couple months ago. I was so bummed!! I already have a restricted diet because of a bunch of food allergies, and even more restrictions seemed like too too much! No, we don't need even more problems, but when was life ever fair? I too eat low-carb and don't pay attention to fat, and also take meds for it. Metformin made me too nauseous, so now I'm on Glypizide. So far so good on that one. I'm trying to cultivate a taste for vegetables, but I've never been a big veggie eater so it's a challenge. I found that olives are a good munchie with very low carbs. Best of luck with this! There is a diabetes forum on this site, although it's not real active. I sincerely feel for you!!
Hubby has just been diagnosed with Type 2 and I spent a whole day last week at an educational course for people with diabetes. It wasn't easy as we all know with fibro sitting for a whole day on a hard chair with very little opportunity to move meant I paid for it for the next 2 days but felt I had to be there to learn all about it and support him. Hope they have given you some good information. I must say they are excellent in our neck of the woods for help with Diabetes and have a specialist team. They recommend Diabeties UK as a good source of information their nos is 0345 123 2399.
Hope you will b feeling a bit more positive soon as I know it is bad enough having fibro alone without having to deal with added illnesses. X
Thank you all so much for your replies. I sound like I am feeling sorry for myself when I read what so many of you are going through! Just had a momentary whinge ! Good luck to all and thank you for being here xx
