Just back from A and E with one of my girls.....

exhausted. my Katie has had ongoing problems with ovarian cysts, she's 20. Two hears ago on new year dday she had to have emergency surgery as she had a twisted cyst on her ovary. She's had the odd pains with another trip to hospital last year when one had ruptured.... back again today after emergency trip to gp. Took bloods... all negative but wouldn't do scan today as she wasn't classed as emergency. Sent her home on codeine so gotta take her back at 9am tomorrow. Very worried about her, and shattered myself. Seems she's gonna be prone to them. Then my eldest phoned. She is 22 and has ME and had to go to doctors as been having dizzy spells and headaches. She's been referred to ENT as this is the 5th episode in the last year. Wht a family!"

Just remember you are important also, as a family we are going through the mill but you must take care of yourself. I hope all goes well for you and your family. xx

thanks Lou. Hate it when my girls are poorly, I'm a worrier and as a former nurse, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing with my personality lol! As I was sitting in triage there was a young man who clearly had mental health issues, drug abuse self harming etc. Everyone around was moaning about him as he was abusive and distressed. I wanted to wrap him up and hug him because of his pain. broke my heart... someones son, brother, grandson ... I lost a dear friend to alcohol abuse some years back, at age of 40. Brought it all back.

Oh dear Joannie,

I'm just so sorry you and your poor daughters are having to go through all this at the moment and like Lou says you have to remember yourself in the equation too.

I hope that they are going to do a scan tomorrow, surely with her history she should be classed as an emergency, but that's only my own very humble opinion.

Your other daughter sounds like she's having a really rough time too, and I do so hope that the ENT specialist can find what is at the root of her problems too,

Please do remember also to take care of you, the last thing we all want for you is to be pushed into a flare by supporting your daughters, which I know is so so hard, but you have to remember you have a condition that impacts on your life hugely 😊😊😘

Do hope your Daughter get's the medical attention she needs for cysts. Had similar experience 2 years ago. After unexplained Bleed while away. Still had to wait till own local hospital eventually. Got Scan & Operation sorted. But following year another grew on other ovary.!! Wish they'd removed both at same time!! Pray your other daughter also get's help also with her health concerns.
