Yakult: Hi everyone I was at the gp... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Yakult
Hi Rosie,
Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections.
Yakult's probiotic drinks provide you with unique probiotic benefits that may help balance your digestive system. They work hand in hand togeather.
Take care,
Soft hugs xxx
Thanks ryanbone I appreciate you getting back to me, I've just started them today so I hope they don't make me sick lol I'm like a baby when I'm sick hugs rosie xx
i did not get yakult on prescription dont think its possible. idid take yakult for six weeks after tegretol destroyed the balance of gut fauna. other than the horribly sweet taste it realy helped my stomache and improved my i b s . there are other pro biotics some may be cheaper but i would strongly suggest that you take them for at least six weeks.best wishes.
I genuinely hope that it works well for you. I cannot drink it myself as I am allergic to it. I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
to ken do you have lactose intolerance or the full blown allergy.. it may be possible to find probiotics in other forms ie from goats or camel milk not that i would fancy camels milk supposed to be one of the richest milks out there. best wishes
Thanks for that it is genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately I have the full blown lactose allergy. So I now have lactose free medication and do not have any lactose at all as it gives me breathing difficulties.
Hi Rosie, I do hope Erythomycin agrees with you and helps to get things under control.
The reason I say this is because I've had a really bad reaction to it in the past.
Severe stomach cramps. I was given them on 2 different occasions and had the same experience. I only discovered it when I stopped them after feeling ill.
I'm not trying to scare you in any way just want to make you aware of this.
Apparently, it is quite common but not very nice to endure.
Keep me posted, & take care 🙋
Hi, I have gastroparesis, and have erythromycin 2 weeks on, and 2 weeks off to help with motility. I have taken it for years and even though its potency has lessened over the years, I have never had any side effects with it, so don't worry about taking it!
To be honest, Yakult is one of those things that people buy but has;t actually had any real proven scientific justification. What has had scientific backing by consultants, including mine who is head of Bristol gastroenterology is 'Symprove'. You have to buy it online and it's about £20 for a large bottle which does last, but it you are serious about sorting your gut out, try it. Also to help, try taking magnesium supplements, as it is great for the bowel, as is a manuka honey which kills all the bugs, treats bad bacteria and helps the immune system naturally. There is a site online called where you can buy at value prices, so just type in manuka honey and it should be the first to come up! Avoid fizzy drinks, and alcohol as this also messes bacteria in the gum. Avoid gluten and lactose too if you want to detox your gut... hope this helps?
