Hi ive got a Dla appeal. Can you get low rate for fibro?? And what are my chances??

hi i got awarded low rate care and low rate mobility the first time and didnt even need a medical an i have fibro so good luck xx

Yes, it is possible to get DLA with Fibro. I used to get low rate care and high rate mobility - that was a few years back though.

I was knocked back 3 times for dla, i just gave up.xxx

Hey sh3ronb,

I was turned down the first time. Someone told Carla at work, she's a civil servant, that you can get their help completing the forms. I called up and made an appointment for a home visit. the turnaround time was very quick because they knew it was an appeal. the chap helped me with the wording and actually wrote it himself. It was granted. They offer this service for first timers also, it doesn't have to be an appeal.

Now the jobseekers allowance is another story. Their all nuts in my opinion.I'm putting an appeal together now. ok i haven't started it yet, but i'm gonna. i was given the lower rate on everything. They want me to go for "interview training". I tried to explain that I'm still employed, but not receiving any salary anymore. I was told I still have to attend or i will lose what i'm getting now.
