Welcome sorry to hear you are in that much pain. Hopefully the doctors will be able to help you.
Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear you are in so much pain. Hope you can get it sorted out so you can feel more comfortable. I love Coronation Street too!
Hi Laurie, welcome and sorry to hear that you're in pain, hope you get it sorted out soon. xx
I'm a Coronation St fan too - about 10 years ago I took my son and friends to the Coronation St exhibition and guess what? We met up with a Canadian family that loved Corrie.
A couple of years later in the Lake District (Cumbria) we met another Canadian couple who were fans and were so upset because the exhibition had closed. They had hoped to visit it and buy souvenirs for their friends. I knew of a shop in Manchester that sold Corrie-related things so I got their address and posted a selection off to them.
What is it that Canadians like so much about it - we love it here in Manchester!
Maggie xx
I am from Newfoundland originally. My grandparents were English and Irish/Scottish. We all have a distinct accent in Newfoundland that is not found anywhere else in Canada. The next province, Nova Scotia (New Scottland) also has a distinct accent.
So the humor and accent makes me feel very "at home". It has been playing on the TV at our house from the very first episode available in Newfoundland. So Coronation Street has just been something that drove me crazy as a child and now it is my favorite show!
Your antecedents sounds amazing, and it's interesting to hear about the regional accents in your area. It must be that Canadians have a different sense of humour than Americans and the French, nice to know that the Brits have such a cultural influence on Canada. XX
I would have to say Canada is better then U.S. I have visited, Victoria, and B.C. and I loved it. if I could live anywhere else other then Portland Or. It would be Canada.
may be going to pay another visit, but have to get passports now, so passport here I come.
and I too hope things turn out good for ya. ah...lol a little canadian humor for ya
