I was walking through Tesco's yesterday and right in the middle of the entrance was a stand full of books "Fifty Shades of Grey" oh so I popped one in my basket as I have been wondering what all the fuss is about. Get home nice cup of coffee feet up open book ................Well I was brought up on Lady Chateley's Lover as being racey, sexy and promiscuous. I am not sure this book should take canter stage of a supermarket are we all very liberated I hope so. Wow sex described amazingly yes I couldnt put it down - more what have I been missing all these years? I shall not go on but I hope someone else has bought it and knows what I mean. I always thought books of such a nature should be relagated to the higher shelves certainly not suitable for under well 16 and under maybe 18................
I shall go and finish it now x gins

I can't concentrate for long enough to read a book
Julie xx
I didn't think I could concentrate long enough either Julie, but my goodness I felt compelled to read these books as there is a global obsession with them at the moment, I had to know what all the fuss is about lol! My bottom jaw is still on the floor and my eyes are boggling, but I certainly forgot about my Fibro for a while when reading it. The second and third books are better than the first. Quite an experience, and I can't say it was an unpleasant one lol!
Oh Diddle you Mum would love to read Mr Greys antics . I read it and my sister 76 read it and the elderly ladies where I live are in the 80s they bought a book each and are passing it around LOL . Mind she did hide it behind her back when she saw me . So I had to tease her a llittle and we had a good laugh about it .
Haven't read about Mr. Grey. But have got the gist from all others who have and posted on Facebook etc. But then I was reading Emmanuelle and Angelique at 14/15. Covered in brown paper of course!!! Now if you want to know what a well brought up young lady does when abducted by a smuggler with smouldering eyes etc........ Find a copy of Angelique! Think Pirates of the Caribian and Jack Sparrow based on these books! X
I've got the trilogy on my Kindle, but haven't read any of them yet. I've read a few books that have been fairly explicit, so I'm interested to see if Grey will live up to the hype!
I'm going to read it on holiday, so if I blush I'll say it's the heat, lol!
