Hi vicky24 and a warm welcome to our friendly fibro community.

You haven't said if you are suffering from fibromyalgia, if you do have it, you can get more information about it by going to our Mother Site fmauk.org Here you will also find guides and links, one which will take you to Janet out benefits lady.

I strongly advise you make an appointment with Citizens Advise Bureau who can help you and see if you qualify for Housing Benefit and Council Tax relief. A Welfare Officer at your local council may be able to help you too.

I also advise you to go back on your medication, you should not stop this unless your doctor has given his agreement.

You did not make it clear if your partner is still working full time. If he is it may affect your claim for ESA.

I am sorry I cannot help you any further.

Hi vicky24

Welcome to the forum :)

As our bluebell99 has said, the best thing to do is make an appointment at the CAB and ask them to do a benefits search for you.

They can put all your details into their computer and see what you may be able to apply for.

There are various benefits that can be applied for, but it doesn't mean that you will automatically be awarded. You will need to be assessed first to see if you qualify.

It depends upon how your illness affects you as to what benefits you are awarded with.

Good luck.

Hi vicky24

I am so genuinely sorry to read this my friend and I have pasted you a link below to the GOV.UK cache on 'How to claim PIP.' You could put in a claim for this but you would have to prove how your illnesses / disability affects your day to day life:

gov.uk/pip/how-to-claim

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck, and please take care of yourself.

All my hopes and dreams for you

You need to contact your local CAB and ask for a benefits assessment appiintment. In the meanwhile there used to be a site called "entitled to", on there you answer the questions and they give you a picture of what you should be able to claim, but remember that some benefits like PIP depend on your health not your circumstances.

Very best of luck.

Blessings.
