Yes get electric shocks in feet and hands that just come and go. Horrible. I wonder if there is enough power to light a bulb up? It would save on the bill. Gentle hugs Joolz.x

I am so genuinely sorry to read that and yes, I get this quite frequently. I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue.

Hi , I get that all the time, throughout my whole body ,you can't explain to some people what it's like unless they have experienced it , along with the burning and tingling sensation in my feet, taking duloxetine to try and help take vibrating sensations away.it seems to be working a little bit for me. Hope you can find something that helps to calm them down , thinking of you. Xx

Hi Keeleybee, sorry it's happening to you,I know exactly what you mean, often the feeling will happen in my head if there is a loud noise and elsewhere in my body I also get the electric shock type pain, shame we are all going through this but so nice to have fellow fibromites who know what we are going through, trying to explain to non sufferers is like wading through treacle !!!!big soft hugs and best wishes to you all xxx

Hi Keeley,

I have always assumed that this happens because fibromyalgia seems to heighten our senses... you know, intolerance to loud noise, strong smells and bright light.

So if you get a sudden shock, then our bodies sort of go into overdrive... our "fight or flight " response to a frightening situation is probably 1000 times greater than normal people, and I find that a sudden shock gives me palpitations, electric shocks in my finger tips and trembling legs, This is caused by the adrenaline rush.

Not much advice but try and avoid stressful situations as much as possible and accept that our bodies are very sensitive!! Xx
