Tingling and tinnitus

hi ,

Just wondered if anyone suffers with pins and needles / tingling - in arms / hands ? Since the weather has got cooler my hands are e really suffering and I’m not sure if this is part of my raynauds or just fm in general ?

also does anyone have tinnitus my us fo bad right now snd it’s always in my right ear 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I have raynaulds too and it's sometimes difficult to know which is responsible. Of course it could be neither and actually carpal tunnel, perhaps it would be advisable to check with your GP. I had surgery for carpal but unfortunately the fibro and raynaulds still give me tingling. I do wear wrist supports when it is really bad and use hot wax hand baths too which seem to help. I have tinnitus but I have an app which plays through my hearing aids and helps mask the constant noise, which is mainly first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Blooming annoying isn't it, I kept blaming the noise on the TV or radio before I realised nobody else could hear the constant noise.

Thanks for the reply I’ve actually just goggled this and it could be a possibility so you’re right good idea to get checked too .

Yes it’s really annoying my tinnitus is often more like a ‘fullness’ or pulsing in my ear it’s so hard to explain I find it strange that it’s always in my right ear x 🤷‍♀️

Hi I have tingling in my hands, pins and needles most days. My hands also can shake a little. I have continual tinnitus in my right ear which is connected with my migraines. It’s just a buzzing that fortunately I have managed to get used to.

yes I often have pins and needles in my hands and especially my feet at night, everything is ten times worse now the cold weather has arrived 😞 I get whistling in my ears quite often never suspected it could be related to FM??

yes I have tingling and also have tinnitus in my right ear. I also have freezing cold hands feet and nose. Very like you.

Hi, i to get tingling/pain in my hands. Have previously been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome (mild nerve damage), which is also a symptom of my fybro. I also suffer from tinnitus which i find utterly debilitating at times, it gets so aggressive it can be painfull. This illness needs far more research, it is not taken serious enough by the medical professionals we rely on!

I have tinnitus and was told to play music (low) as mine mainly starts in evening. Eith regards to tingling i have Fibro & this is a common symptom in hands & feet 😔

Hi, with any neuropathy it is worth double checking that 'reversible' causes have been properly ruled out (B12 or folate deficiency, B6 deficiency or excess, blood sugar imbalances, zinc/copper imbalance, iron deficiency etc). As you also mention tinnitus, I'd be looking long and hard at B12 and the folate cycle. B12 deficiency can be difficult to diagnose and easily missed, as serum testing doesn't give enough information to rule it out. Best wishes

I have had Tinnitus for some years I get different sounds in both ears, high pitched chirping pulsing and buzzing sometimes thumping and also when I try to sleep I hear noises inside my body creaking more like ... I often thought its birds chirping away loudly hubby couldnt hear them.....so like to think they are all around anyway

...nothing works for me I sometimes think its gone but then it comes back, I have Fibro and get tingling all down my arms and legs sometimes my face the more I stop and look for it the more it is there.. more noticeable.. I find having sounds on around me tv radio etc.. keeping my spirits up and keeping myself busy helps..

Yes, I have pins and needles, for the last six months. Not only in hands and feet but also through torso, legs and arms. Was worse during winter.

Also have tinnitus, particularly in right ear.

Some of my conditions are chronic pain (from old injuries), moderate kidney disease, and permanent fatigue which has worsened over the last 12 months.

A month ago blood tests showed Vit B12 was ok and also Active B12 -but I take B1 every day and didn't know then to stop for a week before the blood test.

Ferritin also ok, but again, I take slow release iron every day (otherwise, iron levels deteriorate).

Had serum Immunoflixation, Autoantibodies, ANCA, GBM Abs Free Lights Chains all cleared.
