I have not personally used Gabapentin as I have Pregabalin. However, I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with them.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Zita

Yes I'm on the maximum dose of Gabapentin. It doesn't take my pain away completely, but it does take the edge off.

I would add though that I do experience an unusually high level of pain.

Some people can feel slightly woozy to begin with, but in my experience most strong pain killers can have this side effect to begin with.

I truly hope that it works for you.

Let us know how you get on.

Hugs Lu xx

I take gabapentin 200mg at night, helps my neck pain a little. I'm not allowed any higher dose because I am on citalopram 40mg for depression. wishing you the best x

My GP put me on 300 mg of Gabapentin three times a day about a month ago. For the first week I felt very tired and 'out of it', but I've got more used to it and it's took the edge of my pain and helped me sleep. I'm now on an anti-inflammatory as well as the docs are thinking I have some kind of arthritis. To be honest I didn't realise how good the gabapentin was until I forgot two doses the other day as I was out all day - I was in bed all the next day so it is certainly doing the job. Good luck. It's best to start slowly - I started on 1 x 300 mg one day, then 2 x 300 mg and then up to 3 x 300 mg and it does take a week or so to see an effect.

Hello,

I use it and started off with a low dose of 300mg before increasing to 800mg in the morning then 600mg for the two doses later in the day. I think that it has helped with the pain a bit, especially in my hands.

The Rheumatologist that I saw recently confirmed that I had Fibromyalgia and has suggested to my GP that the dose can be gradually increased if required. I hope that this information is of use to you.

Best wishes,

Dave

Hi,

I was put on it a few mths ago. I was put on 300 mgs 1 day did nothing then put on 300 x2 day did really nothing, just had back surg 12 weeks ago so my pain levels are a steady 8 if not worse. I get a lot of bad flair up from the surgery so my surgeon said to take 3 a day. Still don't feel much. DWT66 I see you take 800 and 600 msg a day , how high a dose do they go? I do think I need more help. My pain doc is so overly cautious at times. I'm actually trying to find a new one cause he doesn't help me much. I'm not sure he'll even increase my Gabapentin , I see him on the 1st and if he doesn't I think I'm gonna chg docs.

I wish you the best of luck with it, I have heard it's a great medication, and they do tapper you up.

Hugs to you
