Hi paulapips64,
I also have been put on pregablin, it can make you feel a but out of sorts for the first two weeks. I've been on mine for four weeks, and everything has levelled out now. But to start with I felt very vague!! I slept better than I had in years!! I feel far more lucid on pregablin. I was on Gaberpentin before, I hadn't realised how vague I had become on them. I feel so much better on the pregablin. It hasn't really lessened the pain, and I have just gone into a flare two days ago :-((. But it hasn't increased it either, but I do feel I am involved with life. I am mentally much better. Hang on in there.......give it a good couple of weeks, it does need a couple of weeks for it Ll to settle down. Good Luck. X
hi paula, sometimes it can just be a matter of getting used to them, or you and your gp getting the right balance. I've been on them a while now. at least your top wouldn't have needed washing
regards,
hamble.
Hi paulapips64
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? As the others have already said, this can happen at first and it is a question of getting use to them. I genuinely hope that they work really well for you and help alleviate your pain.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken x
Balancing the pregabalin through out the day is the way when it has settled down you hopefully will find it really useful. I have I am just changing it around it a bit to get continuous cover!

Hi I would suggest starting on a low dose then build up . My doctor put me on low dose 25 mg morning and night then gradually increase over 4 weeks otherwise you can't function . I suggest speak to your doctor x
Hi Paula I've been on Pregablin now for about 5 years. I was started on a very low dose and built up gradually but even then for the first 2 weeks I was on another planet and nearly gave up but it did help the tremendous neuropathic pain I was in so I persevered. I then started to realise that the side effects were slowly getting better and now apart from tiredness which is part of fibro in any case I can;t say they affect me very much at all. I thought they might have stopped helping me with the pain but when I tried tapering them off it came back with a vengence. Do try to stick with them for a while but take things slowly. I didn;t drive until the side effects lessened. Hope this helpsx
