anyone struggling at momnt with fibro flares I still can’t seem to shake it of drs put me back on duloxatine the side affects are Terrible with pregablin as well I’m fine with tho but duloxatine knocked me side ways nearly been sick from day one of takin it is this a reaction or should I call me dr back

How long have you been taking it? When I first took the duloxetine the first few days were horrible but now it's settled down it's ok. If its been more than a few days I would contact your doctor.

good morning dr put me back on it as I was having headaches befor .but didn’t have the sickness the sickness was that bad I went bed shaking felt awful so stopped it immediately next day haven’t took it since Friday as I couldn’t cope with side effects.. he said take morning with food but that made me feel worse . Thanks for your reply think I need ring drs .

Hi Annya34,

I am sorry you are suffering with medication side effects, no fun.

I first took Duloxitine before I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and it did the same to me, I felt so nauseous for around three weeks (if I am remembering correctly). However these symptoms did diminish after this time.

I continued on Duloxitine for around a year with no real difference to my pain.

I am now taking Venlafaxine which for me was fine at the beginning and continues to be so without nausea although if I am hungry I can feel a little nauseous but absolutely fine once I start eating.

I started in Jan 2022 on the lowest dose and now on 175mg.

Morning yes it’s definitely not fun .. think a call to drs I need as I can’t deal with those horrible side effects plus pain I’m in .. thanku for getting back to me .

Hello, I would differently speak too your doctor, some meds work okay for us and others do not suit for sure, I am on duloxtene and it works well for me personally but i tried Sertraline and had bad side effects. Seems to be trial and error along the way. See if you can get a call back from your doctor today , most surgeries will arrange this . Take care.

hey thanks for getting back to me . Yes Iv had sertraline to I wer haven weird dreams on them an sweats . Iv tried so many things as the side effects are vile . The pregablin I’m on 100 mg I’m ok with that no side effects . But it ain’t helping the pain at all so went to dr he put me on duloxatine the side effect I had with it felt as tho I wasn’t here made me ded sick took me two days get over it an stopped it .. I can’t get appointment with my dr at the mo but got follow up on 22 nd so after tell him then .. he did put me on 60 mg straight away .. but can’t be to out of it as I won’t beable do nothin only be a zombie I can’t cope with that feeling .. thank tho what a night mare to just feel better the pain is exhausting not good at all . Hope your ok an everyone else thanks for getting back to me today I think iv had the first break where my flares have eased since before Christmas haven’t had a break with it shootin pains in legs throbbing all over it’s vile .what Ay condition . Don’t no what it’s all bout to be honest diagnosed few years ago it’s not good . Love an light to u xxx

Hey sorry to hear you not great, I have been the some. I have been having the same flare up for about 5 ish days and can't seems to get rid of the pain, I was in duloxatine and with up to 90mg and it did shit so have recently came of it and starring to take pregabalin which is not helping but have only started to take it so hopefully it will work. I also get more flares the worser the weather so I'm hoping it's that 😂x

yes the medication just makes us like zombies I think Untill u get used to it .. I’m still in pain but it’s subsided for the first time today I’m like wow all that pain Iv had since befor Christmas it’s easing a bit so I’m just enjoying the momnt of not been in much pain been putting my heated blanket on my legs keeping warm the weather definitely don’t help . Took me 6 weeks before all of the side effects of Duloxetine had gone, but at least they eventually helped the pain and were much better initially for me than pregabalin & the other one beginning with A were (sorry fog brain strikes again).

I have been suffering from a flare since before Xmas now though... and notice that lots of us are - is it weather? lack of sun? solar flares or what! Just wish it would go away

Hi yes I struggle with fibro flares this is a week now and is making me feel terrible. Doctor has increased my amitryptline from 10mg to 25mg and has also gave me cocodomol for the pain. I hope you feel better soon

does the cocodomol help as he won’t provide me with any pain killers Iv asked he said he won’t give them me ..just gave me duloxatine might after try take them see how I go not sure what do .

Hi the cocodomaol take the edge off the pain but doesn’t take the pain away all together. Sick of waking up all the time after 10 hrs sleep feeling like I’ve been beat up and had no sleep it’s horrible but I guess the same for people with fibro. Never feel refreshed but hope you are ok .
