Fibro pain

Hi can anyone help ? Ive suffered with fibro for many years now but my doc is very sceptical about it , im there to see him today because im in agony with my shoulders and neck the tramadol i take is not helping 😕 how can i get across firmly but not rude i need either reffering to rheumy again or another specialist ?? . Thank u

I think you have every right to be referred to a specialist if you insist. I don't see how your doc can refuse. If you have problems with your doctor, I would make a formal complaint to the practice manager. Hope you get sorted, it's no fun being in pain.

Hi lovely. As already advised can you see another GP at the practice? You have every right to be referred to a pain clinic or rheumy, I'm not sure they can refuse you but I could be wrong. Can you take someone with you to see him/her, someone close who can support you?

I used to be scared to ask for a referral but as long as you do it in a pleasant way the doctors I have seen are fine with it. Good luck xx
