Hi Best buddies & welcome. Sorry to hear of your news. As Ginsing says there are many here that will help & advise you as much as is possible. Don't be afraid to ask. I just take one day at a time as each day can be different, learn to adjust your days accordingly. Don't overdo it but try to keep as active as you can.
Stay positive.
Smiles to you xxx
Hi
Welcome to our lovely, friendly, kind, compassionate forum 😀
We all try to support each other as much as we can. If we can't answer a question for you, we will send you a hug to keep you going.
As Ginsing said we swap tips and ideas to help each other.
I need to go and cook dinner, but I will write a fuller reply later.
The people on this forum have kept me going through some very dark times over the years.
If you need any help using the forum let me know and I will do my best to help you.
Gentle hugs

Welcome to my life line at times. I haven't been a member long but I can tell you this site has helped me so much. We all try to stay positive but there are times when grumpy comes to play. We listen and try to help anyway we can. Some of us have had Fibro for a very long time as well as other health issues. We do share information about Fibro and anything else that pops up. Thank you for giving us a chance!😀

Hi Sabrina
Welcome to the forum so sorry that you have had to join us but you will find everyone friendly and helpful. Have you looked on our mother site FibroAction as you will find alot of helpful information there and someone is normally around to try and help you. Sometimes it is just good to know that there are others out there who understand what you are going through. We aren't medically trained but can often give you tips and or a listening ear.
I think fibro is a very difficult illness to get to grips with as there are so many differnent symptoms and if like you there are other problems involved it can sometimes be difficult to know which is causing the pain so it is often a case of trial and error with what helps. Look forward to reading your future posts.x
In my experience CBT helped me to focus on my abilities rather than what I could no longer do, I would recommend it, doesn't help all but well worth a try. I will also add that people have negative thoughts because they are ill, I am fortunate to have very good health care and family, many have neither of these. Lou x
Hi best buddies. ....'coming to terms' with any illness is not an overnight process so be gentle with yourself as you go through the process. .....I found it helpful to read up on Fibro from a range of sites and from this I realised that what I was feeling was commonplace ....from diagnosis we seem to need to go through the various stages of grief to reach the final stage of acceptance and from that mindset people seem to become more successful in implementing a range of strategies to help them manage their condition more successfully. There are lots of things we can do to help ourselves. ...but don't expect to be able to do it all overnight. ...It takes time, effort, self discipline etc.......but all worth it to be able to live more comfortably! Take heart....It must seem very daunting at the moment but this will pass. All best.
Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I genuinely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I sincerely hope that you find the site useful, informative and loads of fun!
I have pasted you a link to our mother site, FibroAction which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:
I was wondering if you have discussed pain medication with your GP or Medical Specialist? As there are plenty of options in that department. It may also be beneficial if you could get a referral to a Pain Management Clinic.
I also do physiotherapy and I find this exceedingly beneficial, and I also use a TENS Machine to help with my pain. I want to genuinely wish you all the best of lcuk.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
