I am so very sorry to read that, and I genuinely and sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to these issues. It may be worth discussing this with your GP and telling them exactly how bad things have become for you.

I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hi, Julie, I am so sorry you are suffering and that you are so tired of always having to pay for any activity.

I can imagine how you're feeling, I'm in the same situation ... I spent Monday doing some chores that I'd been neglecting, & felt good about just getting a little "caught up." I did not lift anything ... I'm forbidden. I'm very careful. I'd been feeling pretty good for awhile, but AHA! Just when you think you might be able to do something, or feel a bit better, or just not have to pay dearly for doing something/anything ....... watch out!!!

After my pretty full day of picking up, moving things around ... I laid awake for hours (good old INSOMNIA yet again), finally went to sleep, then woke up a couple hours later to piercing pain in right side of my neck, up into the back of my head, down into my back & shoulder ... I never could go back to sleep ~ so I just lay there, hurting so badly/waiting for time for next pain pill.

Some days it seems I just live from pill to pill ... But I guess most all of us feel that way ... and are "SICK OF IT" as you said.

Just when you think, "Could things just be okay, PLEASE? Just for a wee bit?"

"Haha!," FIBRO says, "No, FOOLED YOU!!! Have some more Pain!"

Wishing I could help us all ... for now sending gentle hugs to everyone.

Hey read your post I know exactly what you mean,I often pay for doing something which should be a normal day in life. Keep your chin up sit back and open a chocolate bar. I find having my two dogs help me when I'm feeling so low I would like a easy way out of all this pain, I look into their eyes and think who will give them all the I love I give them(coz they are spoilt pooches and fat like me) as I can't walk them bless. Hope you feel better soon

Sweetpee xx

My sister is a mental health nurse, and the other day she actually told me that she hada papatient that would be admitted couple times a year ..With fibro..and no one really knew what it was. ..The patient would be there ...stay a few days/weeks depending then get docs to discharge herself ...staff had even commented wondering if she only came in to avoid paying bills that month ? ...sister said she seemed normal to the eye..but was often in bed ! Doesn't this sound too familiar. ..i feel like printing off a statement about fibromyalgia before I go to any medical appointment n make email read it be we talk

sis is great and is well educated in this now..

in reply tosandstone

Yes I understood. It is still very unknown. Let's hope they can learn more about it soon because it does ruin quality of life. I lost my job last month through having too much time off

Cant remember where i got it from but was said that it is like a bereavement, you need to mourn your old life to be able to accept the new you. Last year was a nightmare for me, leaving work, applying for PIP, loss of the contacts through work.

Now i am a bit more accepting am fortunate to have a supportive partner, which makes a huge difference.

Its all about pacing, do something for 10 minutes then have a break, if you only manage 30 minutes throughout the day then you have still achieved 30 minutes more than you had when you got up. Look at whats essential, - i dont prepare veg anymore as i wouldnt be able to eat it afterwards. I dont dust - so what what others think - if they are bothered then they are more than welcome to help, though accepting help from my mum was one of the hardest things ever as i used to feel it was a critiscm.

As for days out, i have a rest day beforehand, and accept and warn folks i am going to be out of it possibly for a couple of days afterwards, but i still try and plan to be out. I wash the night before as it takes me too long and too sore to do it all in the same day. I often have a sink wash - sitting on the loo, as i cant manage a daily shower.

I know its hard but it is all about acceptance. Forget what you cant do otherwise you just get more stressed and that only increases you pain. xxx
