Woken by Annie 7.30.not wanting to get up.feeling so weak,stomach so heavy.not sure I can take the dogs out.BAD cough preventing sleep.Annie sitting next to me pawing me and buster rubbing his head on my thigh.head pounding

Aww, I'm so sorry. So nice to have those little heads thumping against you, knowing you need the companionship.

I am up in the middle of the night, having gone to bed at 7pm and slept 4 hours, sick and feeling heavy myself. Think I'll fast today and just drink carrot juice and lots of water.

thank you Clare.unwillingly took them out for a short walk which still took 30-40 minutes cos Buster just plods along at his own pace.dont that so many times.if I cant sleep in the afternoon I go to bed for half an hour and dont wake up for 4- hours.very wheezy with cough today.eye test later .it not only companionship,its out of concern too.

Yep. I have had to stop walking my dogs most evenings and I have never done that unless I wasn't home or in bed with a fever. I too sometimes force myself to get out for at least a walk around the block which satisfies them for the most part, but leaves me feeling guilty.

Well, heck. No more of that. I just give them my all when I can and then give them extra treats when I should be walking them, not putting more weight one them! (Don't tell Dave.)

just read somewhere that a dog rubbing his head on his owner is because they are picking up on something.

I feel bad if I can't wall far but they say dogs aren't fussed whether they have a long walk or not.I disagree.buster choose s where he wants to go most days..if I take them out in the pm- just to the field at the top of the road.I can barely walk these days cos of heaviness of stomach and pelvic area.and feeling weak.some days he is just happy to play in the garden despite his 13 years.

don't know so much.cant cope with abdominal heaviness being so disabling. still angry with gps. laughing at a patient is so unprofessional.cough worse/wheezy with it and tightness in neck.enough to stop me in tracks when out with dogs.cant lie down as start coughing/choking /wheezy.another sleepless night tonight,if still same see a gp tomorrow or A&E.

Why? It could just be a virus or bug that is making those symptoms right now rather than a particular desease? A few months on a really good tonic or Vit/mineral supplement may boost your immunity quite a bit and when general health is better things may improve a lot.just a thought,good luck on the road to better all round health.

I take vits etc ,suppose immunity Is low cos of diminished appetite

Dr said it is a chest infection and required antibiotics.

Felt better on day2 of antibiotics no longer wheezy still some chest pain but that is probably unrelated more to do with stomach issues.

Hi Cupi.why what?.seeing a gp?it s not just a normal cough-never had a cough like it or lasting as long or as disabling.i haven't had coughs/colds for along time.there may be something going around.the little laddie next door had the same and was on antibiotics tho antibiotics don't always work.

There's a lot of pollen about at the moment from the oil seed rape that can cause wheezing cough and tight chest if it was an infection you would have a high temperature and would be producing coloured sputum

it could be the field where sometimes walk the dogs has oil seed rape in it for the first time.i was there yesterday but my cough started on Monday.I start to cough then get wheezy and it comes from the centre of my chest -some sputum coughed up -creamy brown.tried to lie on sofa to watch TV as back was hurting and started coughing and wheezing.dosed up with cold meds ,hopefully ill get some sleep.seem to be ok lying on my left side which is the side I sleep on.

Hi Ken.mentally feel ok not physically..both dogs woke me at 7 ,struggled to get up.feeling weak,fatigued,nauseous headachy ,,cough prevented much sleep.apprehensive about taking dogs out.feeling scared.
