Magnesium is supposed to help with rls. Ask doc for blood test to check your magnesium level, its just one of the things to rule out
I take a tablet from my GP called Ropinerole. It gives a lot of relief even if i do still have the odd attack. Then a hot bath helps.

Oh dear!!! I sat here reading your post and thought "oooh I can help with this one" but millypede beat me to it!! I read on here last week about the benefits of magnesium citrate and decided to try them out ,bought a good brand on Amazon and take 400mg a day...in the evening... so far so good!! Helping with my legs and sleep pattern! My motto is "it can't hurt to try" and when you're suffering as many ailments as we do you'll try almost anything!....hope I've been helpful!...much love...ninja...xxx
Hi there, I have accupuncture in my back down my leg to the ankle done by my physiotherapists it really helps. Good luck!
I have this especially in the evening when i sit down it drives me mad. I end up having to walk about and do stretches. Some evenings it just gets too much and i just go to bed as when i can get comfy and my tablets kick in i get to sleep.
Thank you for replying. I have just been to docs and they have prescribed amytriptaline. Not sure that's spelt correctly.
Hi Robbie , know how you feel 😟I get a lot of relief from an antihistamine Avaiable in chemist also buy a exfoliating glove have a really hot bath and gently rub your legs in bath with glove the relief is unbelievable 😴
Will give it a try. Thanks.
I got restless legs a lot till I started taking magnesium and Vitamin B6 at bedtime. I still get it a bit if I have a particularly busy day, but mostly it's no longer a problem. I read somewhere that FMS suffers have a magnesium deficiency. Also, to be effective, magnesium needs to be taken in conjunction with Vitamin B6, either as a stand-alone supplement or as part of the Vitamin B Complex. Bear in mind, though, that the effects of vitamins are cumulative so they will not reach their full effectiveness for about 3 months but things should start to slowly improve along the way. Hope it works for you
Thanks for the info.
I have suffered restless legs most my adult life. Probs tried all sorts from medication, avoiding things I know ake it worst. Havingna bath, driving around the streets at stupid o.clock, I haveva had control car. But probably the best thing I have found was a leg pillow from Lidl that cost about £8. It is low triangle shape with curved shaped for calfs if I'm sitting on sofa in or in bed I put my legs on this pillow n for thee very most part it eases my restless legs more regularly n consistently than anything else I tried & only side effect is it sliding out the bed if if had a restless nights sleep lol .
Hope you find some relief 😊
I was referred to a counsellor and she got me to take up mindfulness and a gently exercise like Tai Chi. I find if I do about 10 mins about 10 o'clock I can get to sleep.
I know this sounds silly, but I bought panties that have high rise legs. They don't bind when you sit and it has helped me with my restless legs.
I don't know if it's related but since I started taking iron tables I don't get any more restless legs at night, brilliant
