I have developed a lump on my hip, it started off the size of a satsuma, over the last year or so it has grown 3 times that. It pushes on my hip and spine causing pain. I went to doctor about it an he said "Thats not a lump, thats you." But I knoe its what's causing my back and leg pain, I don't believe its anything sinister, but also don't believe its just fat. Anyone else with fibro have this happening to them

Lumpy hip
It could be a fatty lump, (lipoma). If you Google it you will see it is a harmless lump. If the descriptions given do not seem to relate to you or you are at any time worried, then please see a doctor. If you get nowhere with your current GP then go to another in the Practice for advice.
Hope this helps.
Sorry, but I wouldn't just accept that. How does your GP know this that "it's you"? I'm not saying it's anything sinister, but I would push for a scan/xray to double check. A lump that causes pain like that which is growing in size is not normal. Hope you get sorted x
Hi Millypeede
I am so very sorry to read of your suffering and struggling with this lump, and I would seek a second opinion if you are not satisfied with what you have been told? I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
my question really was could it be fibro related
We are not medical experts but if its an actual lump I doubt it's fibro cause there's no swelling / inflammation with fibro I've been told. But just cause we have fibro doesn't mean we can't have anything else. Hope you get a second opinion & sorted soon. Xx
Don't want to worry you but I had really bad back pain was told sciatica turned out it was a tumour I have a blood cancer called Myeloma so ask for Mri scan if it's really sore that you cry with pain if its not that sore then not sure what it could be good luck hope it's sorted out xx
