I have fibromyalgia with lots of muscle spasms. I have had a new symptom. My feet feel like they are cold all the time and makes me physcially cold myself. Only thing is when I feel my feet with my hands,my feet are warm. Why is this? My brain thinks my feet are cold but they feel warm to the touch. I don't understand. What do I do?

Coldness
I get cold feet only mostly at night, I wear thermal bed socks.
you could try a bowl of hot water. Its what i do when i get the opposite problem Only i have to stick my burning feet in cold water.
I find that it helps with some of these `ghost` symptoms to treat them as real, Hot water for cold feeling feet, hot water for burning feet and some times i find that anti itch cream works on phantom itches, but not always.
Hope you find something that helps

My feet have been freezing for a few years, then my hands, I was tested positive for Reynauds, there is medication but its not very effective, try putting your feet on a hot water bottle, buying fleece socks or silver socks and gloves (Google) they both helped me in addition to buying full back slippers.
I feel like this but my feet do go.cold ice cold and to.touch which then causes my body to be as cold and then my pains.start . Mine are not warm.to.touch though.
hi not sure if this feeling cold is a fibro thing my hands and feet are always cold they are also cold to touch im generally cold all the time my husband cant understand me because even if the sun is shining i have the fire on and my comfort fleece blanket on me as some days i feel cold through to my bones its weired take care joanne x
You haven't gone mad I am just the same as are alot of others. I can often get every other part of me warm apart from my feet and ankles and the front of my thighs. I know wear those sort of slippers that look like suede boots and they do help a bit but I have never been able to get the thigh thing fixed unless I actually go and have a hot bath then I need a JCB to get me out of the bath! Have you tried one of those hot rub creams on them, worth a punt if you haven't?
As Mayrose says sometimes if you treat these things as real the treatments work might just be psychological but who cares as long as we feel better.

Wow, just put a post up about this and this thread came up. Cold feet, but also getting sweats, not hot sweats but cold ones although parts of my body can feel wet and sweaty so I'm trying to stick my knee out of the bed so it doesn't get too clammy while having my feet on hot water bottle. Different parts of me are sweating and freezing at the same time. It's a complete brain ****
I too get hot and cold feelings in my body, I,ve always got cold hands & feet. most of the day I fill a hot water bottle and keep it down my back, I also have a TENS machine to use too.
