Hi! Africanmonkey,I’m really sorry to hear you’re feeling this way. It must be uncomfortable and frustrating, especially when you’re doing everything you can to stay warm. Sometimes feeling cold even with several layers and heat sources could be a sign that your body needs a little extra care or might be fighting something off.

Here are a few suggestions that might help you feel warmer and more comfortable:

1. Focus on Your Feet and Legs: Cold feet and legs can make it harder for the rest of your body to warm up. Try wearing thick thermal socks or wrapping your feet in a blanket. You could also use a hot water bottle or heating pad on your legs to keep them warm.

2. Warm Yourself from the Inside: Drink something hot, like tea, coffee, or soup. This not only warms you up but can also be comforting if you’re not feeling your best.

3. Gentle Movement: If you have the energy, try moving around a bit. Even light stretches or walking on the spot can help improve circulation and make you feel warmer. If you’re sitting, wiggle your toes or flex your legs occasionally to get your blood flowing.

4. Check Your Layers: Four layers are great, but the type of fabric also matters. Wool, fleece, or thermal materials trap heat better than cotton. If possible, ensure your base layer (the one closest to your skin) is made of a material that retains heat well.

5. Rest and Observe How You Feel: As you’ve mentioned you’re not feeling great overall, it’s important to listen to your body. Fatigue, stress, or even a mild illness can make you feel colder than usual. Take it easy, stay hydrated, and give your body time to recover.

If this feeling doesn’t improve or you start to feel worse, it might be a good idea to consult a doctor. They can help rule out any underlying issues, such as poor circulation, low iron levels, or a thyroid imbalance.

I hope these suggestions help you feel warmer and better soon.

Take care, 👍🙏💪

. Many thanks for your assistance I have my army thermals on socks as well I am moving around best I can do and I have even been called to work to care for Thomas as he needs to get out of bed for his exercise while my wife changes his bed he has a nappy and puppy pads under him. But before that I have had to put vibration pads on his legs and feet. So now we are just waiting in a cold house

I'm sorry to hear this. Have you tried drinking a hot drink? I like to have a tea when I can't warm up as it makes me feel warm from the inside haha. Hot water bottles can be great too. Are you able to distract yourself? I try to read a book or something to keep my mind on something else

From time to time, take a bucket of hot water, sit in front of a TV, put your feet in hot water (make it really hot, but do not burn your feet, as one of my friends did). It lasts for about 20 mins, is very pleasant, and was used in the region where I live as a cure for flu and running nose. I do it often during the winter, for the same reason as you complained. All the best!
