Does anyone take a muscle relaxant and if so does it make you feel stiffer in the morning, do i need to change it , try a different one or not use because this is what they do.

I use amitripyline in the evening. I have 50mg, it helps me relax at bedtime. I wake up stiff but I've been given some exercises by the physio to do each morning to wake the stiff muscles up xx

Hi Emma :)

Could you tell me which Muscle Relaxants are you currently taking?

It may be listed as a side effect of it if you check the pamphlet that comes with the medication or you could check it out on these sites:

patient.co.uk/medicine

nhs.uk/medicine-guides/page...

I personally take 150mg Pregabalin three times daily for muscle spasms but because we are different what works for me doesn't necessarily mean that it will work for you :o

You could have a chat with your GP or local Pharmacist about your medications and maybe work from that to help find a combination of medications, treatments and therapies which suit you :)

If I can help any further please ask :)

Wishing you wellness and sending fluffie hugs and smiles :)

Hi

Thanks for that I am on baclofen, I have tried pregabalin but didn't really like it, GP has tried a few but I have to say I don't really like any of them, just feel really woolly all the time.

Thanks again

Emma

One of the symptoms of fibro is to be stiff for several hours after waking rather than the short time you are usually stiff when you have arthritis which tends to get better once you are moving. Thinking therefore this could just be a natural fibro thing for you?

I just wanted to wish you all the best of luck with yours. It may help to discuss a different one with your GP?

All my hopes and dreams for you
