Hi everyone. I joined the forum a few days ago. I had my fibro diagnosis back in December. I went to see my doctor (I asked to see a doctor I know to be very good at the surgery) and after numerous blood tests for other conditions he diagnosed fibro. I've had unexplained pain for so long. I had my daughter last year and suffered excruciating pain especially towards the end of my pregnancy.
Having my daughter has changed my life for the better in so many ways that the fibro is not getting me down. She was a long awaited baby after a long road through ivf treatment.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello to you all and I hope you have a pain free day!

If you want to have look around please do. You can always come back to the forum later,
I'm so sorry that you have had such a rough time, but as you say, now you have your lovely daughter which is such a gift after all you've been through. I'm not sure about childbirth as I was never able to have children, but I know that my pain levels went through the roof having had quite a large operation (shoulder replacement) and it kicked my pain levels into orbit. I would say it took me quite a while to get the pain levels back down to a "normal for me" level and I hope that may well be the case for you, gradually. I hope your GP has put you in touch with a pain management clinic, if not, it might be worthwhile asking for one. Looking after your precious little bundle will no doubt exhaust you at times, but try and get some rest when she is napping and treat yourself as gently as you possibly can at all times.
You have certainly find the right place here to come for support and friendship and I much look forward to seeing more of you around the forum, and don't ever be afraid to ask anything 😀
Foggy x
