Hi I haven't been on here for a bit as I have been so busy, had to leave my reception job in September , to help care for my father who. Has Alzheimer's at 80 he is deterioting rapidly. We have also just sold our house and have found a lovely one to rent, our buyers wanted to move in by 1 st jan as I was packing boxes like mad, then my father had to go in a home just before Xmas which I have found very hard even though I see him 4 times a week Miss him terribly, we still haven't moved as our buyers buyer is having problems with some paperwork. Our house is no longer our home as it has everything packed, now this week I have been unwell with my fibro and have been in bed since Monday, dreadful pains on limbs, headache, sweats and intense itching , feel I have flu without the cold but my sinuses are blocked, very very tired but very bad sleep ,can't get to see doc until Tuesday , to get out of bed is exhausting any suggestions on what to take. I am on levothyroxene amytriptyline citalapram, and zapain 500 paracetamols and 30 codeine, help x

So sorry to hear about everything you have been going through. It is very hard when a parent has to go into a home I know when I looked after my mother who was terminally ill with cancer I was heartbroken when I had to put her in a home for her last 5 weeks of life as as an only child in the end I could not manage to lift her on my own. I went to see her every day but I still felt as though in some way I had let her down even though on reflection now it was amazing that I had managed her on my own for so long. It sounds also as though you have been in a lot of stress with all the packing up of all your things and then the disappointment of not being able to move because of all the hold ups. I do think fibro does not react very well to stress and this could have caused you to have a flare but there are also some strange viruses going around and apart from the itching part you could have been describing what I have had for the last three weeks. I am getting over it now but it is a slow process and I keep on having little relapses if I try to do too much. On the very bad days I did find that an Epsom salt bath did help the intense aching and strangely enough seemed to help the sweats.

Do hope the symptoms ease soon and if not that the doctor can give you something that helps on Tuesday. Let us know how you are. Soft hugs.x

Hi juliao

I have read your post with so much pain and sorrow for what you are going through at this time, and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to all of these issues. I know that I cannot say anything that will help truly change your situation but I believe time will help you.

Your father is safe where he is and you need to be strong and let go a little and concentrate on your move. Once all of the paper work is complete in the chain then everything will happen. I just hope that it comes really quickly to help you.

My heart goes out to you and your family, especially your wonderful father. Please take care of yourself and we are here if you ever need a friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken
