  • Hi Helenchic

I am so sorry to read of how you have suffered and what you are still going through, and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to these issues. I am not a doctor so I cannot make a diagnosis, but what you have described is what I go through with my Fibro? I have pasted you a link below to our mother site, FibroAction which hosts loads of useful Fibro information from treatments to diagnosis:

    FibroAction Website:

I was wondering if you had applied for PIP (Personal Independence Payment)? which is a disability benefit that is payable dependent on your illness regardless of whether or not you work. I have pasted you the GOV.UK link to this in case you are interested in applying:

GOV.UK - How To Claim PIP:

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please let us all know how you are getting on?

All my hopes and dreams for you

    Ken

  • Hi Helenchic, sorry that you are having such an awful time at the moment, maybe the extra work around Christmas has caused a flare up? I would definately visit the GP again and if they are not able to help then maybe try another? There are lots of things that they could offer, anti sickness medication, which I have to use as and when, and maybe look at changing your pain meds if they are not working anymore , and also a referral to a pain clinic. Hope things improve soon for you. Take care. X

  • Hello what helped me when i was first diagnosed was a series of videos on you tube.

They could be a bit out of date now, but should still be helpful. The link is lifeafterpain.com/info/fibr...

    I hope it helps,

    Lots of hugs sue.
