Been a long time since I posted anything as life took over . I have had so much going on for me physically and in my family. Will give brief catch up with me. Have RA, Fybro, AS , OA Asthma, lung damage to PEs .recovered from cancer.have frequent chest infections. Well about six weeks ago i was takenbinto hospital with cellulitis in my left leg, it had only taken 3 days to go up from my ankle and thought it was inflation from my RA. Then the fever hit shivers that my teeth chater and my jaw hurt cold not get warm but of course should not had covers as temp was very high I realised during this fugue that I was going to be sick tried to get out of bed and fell awkwardly on my left hip which is a replacement. I won't go inro detail but not make the bathroom. I don't know how I got up or how long it took. But fell again again go up at some point and made it back to bed. Poor son came home from work and had to clean up the mess. Took me to. GP next day as felt better in my head but the redness to my leg had spread half way up calf and was weeping. Gave me antibiotics and arranged for nurse to dress leg. Next day the infection had spread to knee . Call surgury and on call back seemed to think I was doing some kind of prank. He was very rude and could not understand why i could not walkbto the surgery. Now nevercwalk tobthe surgery due to other health probs and the pain and breathless ness, but more so when my leg felt like I was putting it in a tank of boiling water every time it touched the floor and pain ran my leg to my hip. Demanded to know how old i am was very abruot so told them not to bother. So was very surprised when another doctor turned up. I pointed out it had spread even with antibiotics. He umd and arhd and said well he would go away and think. This led to me going in Hos to be put on stronger meds. One week turned to two. Two to three whe got pneumonia and nearly fell into a coma as temp so high but nurse fought for three days just to get it below 40 .and keep it there if not get down. It came down thankfully but ended up in Hos for four weeks. My rhumy came down in first week to look at hip that only ached a bit the time so thought normal but it later was agoney as swelling of ifection went down the pain in the hip went up ten fold. I was in tears ,so extra pain relief and called the rhumy back down but it took him four days to come this time and was on day going home. I was determined to go home as it my birthday next day. So gave me formvfor xray for following Monday which had to get taxi too as far too painful to drive agony more the word . Been that way since ok after rest / sleep but after few mins it agony again the standing makes it worse, can not carry anything as the extra weight causes shooting pain with the already agonising pain . Not heard anything re x ray so assuming it not damaged but it feels wrong to me like its moved a bit or ptessing on something. Been two weeks home and can hardly do anything with pain am normally in but this making it impossible. Rant over . Mo

Where do I start.
So sorry that you have had to put up with so much and such little help at least to begin with. Hope this means you are on the way to recovery (as much as you can). Gentle hugs and keep fighting x
Wow, that sounds truly horrendous. I really hope that you recover as quickly as possible. Sending best wishes over the airwaves. x
I could barely carry on reading your story as it seemed so sad the way you have been and the way you were treated by your GP's. I do hope that you slowly start to make a recovery it might take some time for your body to start healing as it sounds as though it has been through a traumatic time. Rant away as much as you like as these feelings are better out than in. Do keep us up to date with your progress. Take care of yourself and treat yourself gently. Soft hugs.xxx
I've heard so many times about Doctors doing telephone consultations, how can they possibly tell from this what condition you are in, I would complain about how you were spoken to you deserve better. I do hope you recover soon. Lou xx
