Going mental

Hi guys, been on a flare up now for 6 weeks and its just not letting up. Went into town yesterday to pay bills and its crucifying me today. Had no sleep and the pain at the minute is horendous. No good going hospital as they refer you back to GP and cant get referal from gp to either a pain clinic or a consultant. Totally fed up with it. Had my PIP assessment yesterday, I was slightly confused as my brain refused to function so I think I left quite a few things out. Oh well, keep taking the tablets and get on with it. Thats what I get told off gp!!!!

OK be kind to yourself and remember that all stress needs to be managed and a PIP assessment and paying bills in town too much in one day. Hope you feel better soon but "moderation in all things except moderation".

Thanks for your reply. Going to try the local swimming baths next week. See if that helps in any way.

Good idea but I have always found that you need to give yourself a rest before you get dry and change into clothes. Also getting out can be a problem if it is steps.

I can only try. My partner will be with me so he can pull me out if need be, though it might break his back. Haha. Just thought it would be easier to do physio excersises in water.

Hi nicnoc

I am so sorry to read that you are feeling so poorly at the moment with a flare up, and I genuinely hope that you start to feel more like your usual self again soon.

I also want to wish you all the best of luck with your assessment outcome. I sincerely hope that you get your desired result!

All my hopes and dreams for you

Sweetheart, what kind of meds are they giving you? There is no reason you should have to suffer so, as there are meds out there to make the pain at least bearable. I pray you get the help you need!!! Hang in there honey!!! xxxx Mitzi

Sorry it took a while to answer, I was on gabapentin but gp switched my to pregabalin. So far its not touched me and he wont refer me to pain clunic or a rheumatologist, just a case of ' get on with it. '
