Hi Kathleen321

I genuinely hope that everything goes your way with the verdict! I have never been through anything of this nature, but good luck!

All my hopes and dreams for you

Hi Kathleen.

Have read your post. I am sorry you had to go through something so stressful brought on by...yet again our glorious Gov.

I have probably missed something as am fairly new to site but do you mind me asking why you had to go to a tribunal?

Please tell me to mind my own buisness if I am over stepping the mark. X

I didnt understand a previous post sayibg they missed a mandatory date or something.

Do you recieve ESA (or did?)

I ask as I have it and it was done over phone with surprisingly easy Q&A, then got it 3 weeks later. However it is only the contribution one that lasts for a year so God only know wht we will do after that.

Am currently waiting to hear from PIP! Think I have a good idea how thats going to go!!!

Again I am sorry you have experienced this. Its terrible how they have the ability to make people feel like that.

I understand they have difficult decisions to make and they deal with so many pulling the wool over their eyes but they shouldng make people feel so worried it could worsen their conditions.

I do hope you have calmed down and are taking it easy.

I will do some research this end for you (suffer severe insomnia so have loads of free time between now and about 5am :-) )

So I will have a search about to see if I can find out how long these things are supposed to take.

Take care.

Thinking of you.

Em x

Contribution ESA will only last for 12 months if you are WRAG but if you are on Support it will continue until they review and remove.

With the new rules from the GOV/DWP even though the Tribunal may award you DWP now have the final decision, but it would be rare for them to overturn it. However when the assessment is done even if they award it, it can be overridden by DWP!

As for time it should be no longer than 3 weeks but they are in meltdown at the moment. You can ring them and ask if they have the result in a couple of weeks?

Hope it goes well for you.

I knew after a week! I still remember to this day, the sheer exhaustion and distress I felt on the day! (Jan) Im now waiting for pip to contact me for an assessment with the same dread!! Mind you...If awarded, I will be getting a lovely chunk of backdated money to play with!! (Oct 2013). All my bits are crossed for you!! Do let us know what happens... :-D :-D
