Hi hun how was your assessment when I had mine took half an hour. You shouldn't have to feel bad cos she if she had or got fibromyalgia then she would understand the pain your in hun.gentle hugs. Ros xoxox

Hi sorry you are feeling so bad, the lady who did your assessment should not really be disscussing her own health with you, that's not what she's there for. Fibromyalgia varies from person to person and fluctuates all the time. One day you may be able to get out and about and the next you may be in bed. I know it's probably the last thing you feel like doing but you could always make a complaint about the way the assessment was conducted. Hope you feel better soon. Take care. X

i thought it varied as well due to your own persoanll issues and life etc but when said i also have chronic pain disorder she saidit same as firbomyalgia dosnt mean have both.im actually been bid riideen for 4 months no and has got worse daily the cluster headaches are killing my thought process as cant cope with the pain inhead and all ove my body .. thank you furry x arthur

Hello. I live nr Brum and I had a lady from capita visit me, she said that she had fibro. I dont know if she was the same lady but the one I had was very nice. yes she did delve deep and ask some very awkward questions, but I found that because she had fibro she knew what to ask.

From what I have read it seems that chronic pain disorder and fibro have very similer symptoms and maybe that is all she meant.

Put it from your mind now it is over with and if it was the same lady her report got me the higher amount mobility allowance.

You dont say what treatments that you are on or whether you have ever been to pain clinic, physio or even a fibro course, these seem to be few and far between but a lot of peeps on this site find that some things work for them and not others. It may be worth having a word with you GP and see what is available.

If you would like more information go to.. fibroaction.org

Why not have a look and then we would be pleased to welcome you back onto the forum for a chat.

Hug sue and very pleased to meet you xx

Hello Fibrochron,

Welcome to the FibroAction Community

So sorry you've had this experience, really if the assessor had Fibro they should understand. I'm amazed that a comment like this has been said as she cannot compare her symptoms to yours. I can only imagine how it bad you feel, please know you have support here.

As others have said you could complain if you feel up to it, was the appointment recorded? Please see this link which has information from our website about benefits & Fibro with organisations you may like to talk to should you wish to complain;

fibroaction.org/Pages/Benef...

As per the link above, please know we FibroAction can provide you with information about PIP, which may help.

Please do email us using info@fibroaction.org, I look forward to hearing from you.

Keep Strong, here's to less stressful days ahead.

Best Wishes

Emma :)
