PIP decisions crazy & driving me crazy!

Hi all, thought I’d share my latest experience with my PIP review. Been lucky and received high rate daily care & mobility for last few years. Had my f2f review & decision was made,, can’t get anything at all, not eligible apparently. I’m so sick of the DWP/ATOS making these idiotic decisions making me fight back but stress always makes me dip. Oh I have fibro, generalised osteoarthritis & hypermobile EHlers-Danlos syndrome with ankle about to dislocate. Now they want my mobility car back! Go figure!!!

Any advice?

Hey

I don’t really have any advice but I wanted to say I am thinking of you. How absolutely awful. The complete lack of compassion is mind blowing. I struggle to believe how civil servants can be so incredibly cruel.

E mail msp?

Just try not to take it personally, these people don’t think of you as a person but are just ticking boxes.

Good luck and be kind to you.

Sarah

Yes, requested his so called medical assessment report, full of lies & I will destroy it with my reply. It’s just so obviously corrupt. Thanks for you’re reply tho, appreciate it 😊

God if I had a £ 1 for everyone who tells us that I could give out benefits myself.,these assessors are. Monsters..I had to take my sister to court of appeal last month over the same issue..have you got a copy of the assessment? Get one and find your local welfare rights officer to help you appeal..be aware it can take months as like you there is a long queue

Yes I’ve got the report of lies!! It’s a nightmare for us all. Thankyou & I’m trying to stay strong

Like my sister did they leave out vital information like degenerative or chronic?? That lowers point scoring drastically..this behaviour has hit the news this week...see if you can find your local Tory m.p. Mine helped me this year, they will really want to intervene during elections.. Mine wrote directly to Amber Rudd when she was health minister and took my case to her,it seems the health minister has a weekly surgery for local ministers to take cases to them that appear unfair..

Appeal! Go to see your MP as well with a letter from the Consultants to your GP confirming these conditions. The surgery receptionist can run those off for you. Worth a try.

Pip is so unfair on us all I’ve got Psa and fibo and Oa and I never got a single point. But yet ESA give me highest just don’t figure. I understand they trying to save money but we don’t chose to be this way.

I too had a nightmare start but a MR came back and changed everything I got high mobility and normal care for 10 years which takes me past retirement.

Don’t lose faith

Ah ok hate reading this absolutely shocking how they can do this.

I often ask myself after reading this over and over again surely something should be done and questions asked into how they can get away with doing this and getting paid to do so,

Get the paperwork of the Assessment, then apply for a Mandatory Reconsideration. It does seem as though somebody didn't take account of your previous condition, especially if it's not the first review of your case. Is it for PIP or ESA? ATOS don't do PIP any more.

PIP.

So sorry to read your post.

I notice you've already received a copy of the report. Well done.

Please be sure to address each point you disagree with focusing specifically on how your conditions IMPACT you on a day to day basis carrying out your everyday tasks and activities - this is what they're looking for.

The DWP are so desperate to reduce their out outgoings that they appear to be systematically cutting as many people's benefits as possible. One of the main targets is PIP because it is 'Discretionary' so you're not automatically entitled to it even if your poor health 'qualifies you' which is why you will definitely get ESA.

Many of those who qualify for high rate are being fobbed off with standard rate but for a longer period - say four years instead of two. So they are tempted to just accept it as is to avoid the stress, confusion and instability.

Wishing you all the very best going forward ok.

Take advice, stay calm address their lies head on.

We're all rooting for you. Don't be cowed!

What’s with the deals they’re doing? I’m sure they just try to grind people down until you can’t fight anymore. I always think of the people who find themselves up against the machine & feel too weak to take them on. Looking like we’ll be stuck with another 5 years of Tory policy too!🥴

It seems like the perfect time, with the election, to address the MPs about this injustice & dodgy dealing. Wish I knew someone with clout who would actually get somewhere!!
