I will be having this procedure done on Monday to shrink these fibroids( I have multiple fibroids and enlarged uterus). Has anyone had this procedure done? Also, how was recovery?

Hi there Coffee48 :)

I think you may have come to the wrong community forum as this is for Fibromyalgia which is a chronic illness characterised by chronic widespread pain, hypersensitivity to pain (and other stimuli), chronic fatigue and sleep disturbances. Fibro is a type of chronic pain condition, but Fibro patients experience a wide range of symptoms that can wax and wane over time.

I think you may be better asking this question at Pelvic Pain Support Network community forum where they are better placed to answer you.

Hope you find the forum and get the answer that you are looking for :)

Had it done a few years ago 5 - 10. Was meant to be in for half a day but ended up keeping me in for an extra 6 hours. I actually woke up on a male ward as all the other women were gone home. Apart from that I felt so much better from the reduce blood loss it was worth it but did take months rather than days or weeks. However glad I did it.

I do have fibro as well as having fibroids

Thank you Betty67, for replying to my post. They already told me that I will be in the hospital overnight. I hope it doesn't take months to recover.

No I only took months as I have other conditions, my nail person (same specialist and same condition) recovered very quickly. Gentle hugs

Hi Coffee48

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I have never had anything like this done but I wanted to wish you all the best of luck with the procedure.

All my hopes and dreams for you
