Psycho babble for get up and go is not real it's only imagined

With some CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy) recommended by NICE - if you think your tired the reprogrammed thinking helps stop delusions as the most effective treatment

Hi Ian, my get up and go is not feeling sleepy tired, it is a heavy tired. The motivation is there but it feels as though I am have a lump of lead somewhere in my middle and am wearing concrete boots.

I have talked to my doctor about CBT and we both agree that I dont need it.

I do what I want to do. I just have to plan things a bit differently and allow for rest breaks. I am perfectly happy with that.

It beats being in hospital for months at a time which has happened in the past.

How are you we havnt had a chat for a while

Could not agree more with avoiding CBT but along with GET ( graduated exercise therapy) they remain the advised treatment for CFS.

Suggestions of get an early night and you only think your tired really dont help keep you out of hospital they only shake belief in the medical professions understanding of the search for get up and go.

Energy is like money owed on a credit card for me the more I owe the harder it will be meeting the payments, when the sun shines maxing the plastic is still a temptation at least until I try doing something.
