another fibro moment

for the third time recently put a pan on the hob to boil eggs and went to bed forgetting about it.another ruined saucepan!

I will make only two suggestions

1. Buy cheap pans in bulk

2. - take Boiled Eggs off your menu!

Oh dear seriously it isn;t funny is it I have the attention span of a gnat some days so i can commiserate. I have just filled the Bird feeder up and could not see where I had put the top. Looked everywhere in the greenhouse where I keep the seed and yes you guessed it was in my hand. You are allowed to laugh.x

this was the first time for boiled eggs ,dont eat them much.i just fancied an egg sandwich.im like it everyday.at least once a day forget what i have gone into another room for!or the something i was going to do

Hi anbuma,

It's very easy to forget items cooking on the stove or in the oven, especially if not engrossed in cooking a large meal.

Sometimes, loud timers help.

A friend was having trouble, repeatedly, with leaving items on the stove, leaving his doors unlocked, and more, when retiring at night. I had helped him to itemize a checklist he uses each night before retiring for the night. Not only is his home more safe, he sleeps more soundly as he hasn't anxiety about whether or not he has forgotten something important.

Glad the damage was limited to a pan.

never forget the day my kitchen went up in flames from a chip pan catching fire.i d put a chicken in the oven to cook whilst i walked the dogs and came home to the fire.turned out the night before i d turned the oven off at the mains without turning the ring off on which the chip pan was.if hadnt come home when i did it could have been a lot worse and i had no house left. the best(or worst)part was my neighbour heard the smoke alarm but took no notice of it.

i always remember to lock my doors at night but one day when takign dogs out i left my front(porch)door wide open.luckily i live in safe-ish area and wasnt out for long.
