Long night

Sat in A&E for 7 hrs last night with my 17yr old Grandaughter, who took poorly. She had a fast heart rate got there at 9 30pm home at 4 20am, Went straight to bed, got up at 10. But i have felt dreadful today. Everything hurts, i have a headache, its all i can do to stay awake, i have done nothing at all today, just want to sleep. Its crazy how a change in routine can affect this condition dramatically.

Hi lindamorgan

I am so sorry to read that you are feeling so ill today, and I genuinely hope that you start to feel better soon. I find even a short oversleep can affect me, as I am an insomniac. I stayed in bed til late today because I had a really bad headache and now I feel exhausted from being in bed?

I genuinely hope that your granddaughter is feeling better today?

All my hopes and dreams for you

Honestly, i felt like we were wasting their time and one point i was asked why i had phoned the ambulance, Like i said to the doc, I did not, it was the operative on the 101 no they obviously thought it was serious enough. they sent her home at 4 20am still with a high heart rate at 108, no follow up, just antibiotics. i did ask if they were going to do a follow up and was told no, when i asked why not, nurse said she would find out from the doc, told her to forget been there long enough, everyone was tired and i would ask the GP to sort it out.

I genuinely believe that you did the right thing! If a loved one has an issue with anything like their heart then you should never take any chances, so please do not be hard on yourself for doing the right thing!

Take care
