OK here we go..good news first no lupus !!(sigh...).thank god I can now handle this fibro and I have excepted it so I'll take it as it

Comes. However my family Dr started me on

Wellbutrin 150mg &let me tell you one day the pill and day two energy and not even fibro ..Day three still feeling very alert from the meds not zonked just alert &starting to feel some normalcy.. Its great ..???????

However I am a little worried about the posts on wellbutrin 150mg.

People on the forum page about the meds said they would never take

or recommend the meds because they had seizures and after a week on the meds and some said they got muscle bone pain that won't leave..I find some of this hard to believe but scary at the same time.remember though the forum is on the meds alone not the FibroAction forum.I'm not wanting to stop these meds because I've not felt alive in a long time.

I even went out to sing something that I have not done in years.

Here's my dilemma confused about the meds and wondering if any FibroAction family members are on this and if any good results Wellbutrin 150mg.one am.

Well its great to be back chatting with you all and thanks again for the support I much needed going through my little flary hump fake about lupus and or MS.

No to lupus MS they want to keep an eye on.

But I've now excepted the fact I have to slow down and not force my body.anymore to the extent that I did.

Thanks friends and have a lovely week as much as we can.

St least comfortable

I'll await your response.

Hi sweetdreams1234

I am delighted to read that you have more energy and enthusiasm to go and do the things that you love like singing! I have pasted you a link from the internet drug index, which may help alley any fears that you may have about this medication:

rxlist.com/wellbutrin-drug/...

I have not been able to find wellbutrin 150mg in the UK listings as it has a different name over here. I want to wish you all the best of luck with taking this but if you suffer any of the side effects listed on the link you really need to discuss this with your medical professional.

It is great news that you do not have lupus as I remember how afraid you were of been diagnosed with this, so I am truly delighted for you. I was wondering if you have been diagnosed with MS? Or is this something that they are looking into?

I understand that it is not easy to slow down and not be able to do the thing that you really want to so, as I have discovered myself over the last 12 months.

It is wonderful to see you posting again and I look forward to reading many more.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken x

Re ...left arm muscles are aching but guess what I even washed my floors today by myself no assistance.. Gee whizzz..This new life is wonderful haven't been like this in at least 2-3 years..I'm not going to get too excited just in case of a few flare ups but I'm happy right now and I'll live in the moment.

Thanks ken for the support and I'll be here more often...I'm hoping this lasts for a long time..I'm not sure that the new meds I take are 100% but the info is helpful Ken.The other name could be bupropion xl.

Thanks again Ken

Gentle hugs and take care of you.

Hi sweetdreams, I was on 150mg and even tried halving it, I think it is a very dangerous drug with some people, when I was taking it I had a major meltdown, packed my bags and went away for a few days and realised it was THE DRUG!

It hipes you up so you cant sleep, were you put on it as an anti depressant?

So glad you are feeling better!!! My friend takes Wellbutrin and it helps her depression. I took it years ago but it blurred my vision. Everyone reacts differently. So if it's working, great!!! xxx Mitzi

Hello Sweetdreams1234,

Glad to hear you've found out that you can eliminate Lupus as I know from posts this has been a concern.

I have not had any personal experience of this drug and have not read any research as yet whereby this has been recommended for Fibro, however your Doctor may have his/her reasons for prescribing this for you personally.

I wanted to comment as you mention seizures and I found this link which states;

This occurs in about 1 in 1,000 people who take bupropion. Therefore, although this is uncommon, it can be serious, particularly if it occurs when you are operating machinery or driving. The risk of a seizure is increased if you have a history of certain medical conditions, or if you take certain medicines (listed below) (Dr Laurence Knott 2012)

patient.co.uk/health/buprop...

I would consider discussing your worries with your Doctor if you feel you have any history to be concerned about but s/he has prescribed these with your medical history to hand but the risk appears to be uncommon

Hope this helps

Emma :)
