Hi bwaite
I am so sorry to read that you ended up in the ER last night, and I genuinely hope that you are starting to feel better now? My legs tend to feel very heavy and painful, on occasion I have ended up dragging my right leg behind me! It is a good job that I have a tri-walker or I would end up on the floor.
I want to wish you a the best of luck with your physiotherapy, and I really hope that it works great for you. It is very easy to feel down and depressed when you are in constant pain, I truly believe this is one of the worst aspects of Fibro my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken

Hello bwaite,
Glad to hear you've got a referral to physio.
I was blessed to have been referred to physio twice and been well looked after. I've also endeavoured to continue the exercises at home.
I must confess however that it has not completely resolved the issues with the pain and numbness in my legs - in fact, it has progressively worsened (not as a result of the physio) over the years even though my doctor and Rheumy reassured me that Fibro was Not a 'degenerative' condition so go figure!
Do let us know how you get on.
Wishing you less pain and fantastic care management
Yes bwaite, It is frustrating with the waiting for an appointment but as you said it is good to be proactive. I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy nearly 16 years ago and I remember the emotional roller coaster I went through. I have a friend with Fibromyalgia and at times I have symptoms similar to her. I have created a resource that has helped many people with fibromyalgia and neropathy for many years and there is a website. Therapeutic massage is good most of the times and you will see the benefits. Please let me know if you want me to share it with you.
Sweetheart you may have ruptured disks in your back. I have that as well. You may need an MRI. Hope this helps. xxx Mitzi
bwaite, I developed neuropathy as a result of having a critical illness. I had symptoms of extreme burning, tingling, pins and needles and numbness. The neurologist did an electromyogram (EMG) which measures the response of muscles based on the nerve stimulation. You can see if the doctor will do one since you are exhibiting some signs of neuropathy. [Edited by Admin] As per FibroAction guidelines:
