Does anyone else have night sweats, calf cramps, and palpitations..?
Oh yes, have had night-sweats for years but not until now - this week in fact and on this forum - that I realised it is part of fibro. I wake up drenched most nights and have to change my t-shirt once, sometimes twice, or shiver in wet clothes and sheets. I thought I was going through menopause and it still could be the case so it's difficult to tell. I also have massive hot flushes in the day. Often when in a meeting I can feel the sheen of sweat developing on my face and neck and then feel a full flush - it can be very embarrassing as I don't know how much other people can tell, lol. I try to keep pockets of tissues to mop my brow......

does anyone else have a painful but numb lower leg? it's like a 'dead leg', it hurts but when you touch it you can't feel it properly?...............
Hi Julie 2012..I dont have a numb leg but I do have painful ones and real bad cramp in my calf,s everynight.
Thank you for sharing.I had the 24 hour monitor two week ago and like you nothing that they could find,
I get terrible hot flushes, especially when i am getting ready to go out, or while im out, after eating and all night long, oh and when i try a drink containing any alcohol, it really is embarrasing, i end up wiping all my make up off, and think everyone is staring at my sweaty face etc, it literally pours out of my face back and other areas, its soooo frustrating, so i totally sympathise with you all that have this problem. The strange thing is i actually feel cold to touch ? but can also be hot to touch if im in a hot room etc, Oh the joys of Fibro!!!!
ye all of them very unpleasant.
i often wake up with palpitations, the last episode lasted 2 days. i thought i was dying. my calf muscles have been so painful now for 2 weeks , its a new symptom for me, its usually my thighs and hips . ive just had numerous blood tests for my kidneys aswell, as i have had the most awful pains in that area and i thougth it was an infection or stones. the doctor said it was muscular as soonn as i described the pain. bit i insisted on blood test lol. but as usual my doc was right lol xxx
Been checked twice this year and it has been stomach muscles pulling. Doctors thought until examination that I appendices. Having them regular now if I lift or move too much.
Thank you for your reply..Ive been having the pain in my calfs for a few months now and it did start in my hips and thighs.
Very often at night my legs drive me up the wall! It feels like I have huge spider crabs inside my legs pulling at my muscles and veins etc. The pain is immense. I went to see my Consultant at my local hospital after being referred by my GP and was prescribed Methocarbamol primarily for when the pain gets to the unbearable point. I take 750mg x2 and I have never had to take more for one "legs episode". Methocarbamol is a muscle relaxant that works by blocking pain sensations. It really helps me and although I still have the problem, it makes me feel better knowing I have something to help me through it. It might be worth having a word with your Doctor about this. Just an idea . . .
Thank you LibbyDe its always good to know about different drugs that might help .
I have the same problems leg cramps dead legs flushes I hate them especially when I got out
oh that was soooo useful, i didnt realise hot flushes are part of fibro, thought it was age im 43 and had never put the 2 together, at least now i know even though still very embarrasing
