I last posted here about 3 weeks ago when I was asking if anyone suffers with tremors. Was told last September I have fibromyalgia but think docs are starting to question this. I woke up on the Saturday morning to tremors all over hardly fit to walk got rather panicky and foned out of hours doc to receive a call back 71/2 hours later to be told I would be fine till the Monday to see my own gp. I ended up in hospital for a week a very long one at that to be told from one doc after the other they didn't know what was wrong with me. A neurologist had me stop my anti depressants all of a sudden and had me cut way back on painkillers etc. I then had an mri scan of the brain to be told there was a very small bit of something which could be inflammation take a seven day course of steroids and you should make a full recovery see you in 8 weeks for a review. Well here I am nearly a week out of hospital barely fit to walk or do anything getting no sleep pain in legs and arms burning feeling one minute really cold feeling the next in them keep getting really panicky my head feels strange all the time and scared stiff to take tablets. I don't have a clue what to do or think. Surely stopping medication the way I've had to cant be good for a person can it? Please help

Hi there sounds like they really have left you out on a string so to speak. Sometimes I know its because there's so much we don't need to know but when it comes to our bodies then I think we need to even if they aren't sure they could tell us that and reassure us in some way. The thing they spotted on the scan must be really worrying for you not know what it was on the positive if it was serious then they would have told you that's for sure so try not to worry too much. If you cant get an appointment with your doctor then see if you could have a call by phone, our surgery does that hope yours does too. you do need reassurance as sounds like you've had too many drastic changes all at once and no real explanations, Id make a list of the things that you feel unsure or scared might be happening and put it by the phone or somewhere you wont loose it and get that ground covered if only to help you settle its bad enough being ill so good luck and hope you get a positive result xx
I am so sorry to read of the horrid time that you have been having, and I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to this issue.
I am not a doctor, but it does sounds quite bizarre that they have stopped all of your medications in this way? They must have their reasons? I think I would be very inclined to try and find out what those reasons are?
I really want to wish you all the best and I hope that you start feeling better soon.
