Here goes ........ I've had my leg jerking for a long time as I drift off or am asleep , ok not a big deal ,I think this is quite common.
A few days ago , in the daytime , my hand jerked for no reason , ok not worried.
Last night in bed , just starting to relax when my whole body jerked, then my arm , later my legs a few times, then toes, later hand ?
I was fully awake and getting a bit concerned but still layed there till I fell asleep.
Today I noticed my hand slightly shaking when I unlocked my front door, put suger in my tea etc
I also noticeced my legs feel shaky , although I'm not sure if they are actually shaking .
Also I woke up a few tomes soaking wet with sweat ( this happens off and on )
Anyone have a clue what might be going on or any advice ??? I am keeping a diary of any more jerks etc but trying not to focas too much on it and go about my day xxxxx

Hi larissa
It's exhausting isn't it and the last thing you need when you're already exhausted! I think the best course of action would be to go and have a chat with your GP as you can work together to find out what's causing it and how best to treat it.
Keeping a diary is always good and I would take it with you when you go to see the doc.
You're right too it is quite quite common and wondered if you'd like to see a couple of Posts from the past
This is a link to a Post from the past titled: Does anyone have jerking movements in their arms and legs??
It sounds like restless leg syndrome but I'm not a medical professional so I can't tell if it is or not.
I also thought you may be interested to read about it so you can check your symtoms against it, so here's a link telling you all about restless leg syndrome.
Sending calming and healing lavender fluffies to you and hope you find the information useful to you please let us know how you get on and wishing you a jerky free day
I am so sorry to read that you are having these issues at this time. I agree with zeb73, as I really think discussing this with your GP would be a good idea.
I was wondering what medications you are taking? As many of them have similar problems listed on their side effects page.
I genuinely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to your problem.
Hi Larissa i found the jerking and shaking almost dissappeared after a while of taking vit d supplements prescribed by doctor. If you look it up you will see that defiency causes pain stiffness and jerking in muscles, good luck, Shazzzy
Hi first ever post so not sure if im doing it right but here goes I've had fibro for the best part of two years now and suffer with this intermittently, the only word I can remember the doctor saying was neuralgia (?).. They thought mine was RLS but because it only seemed to happen when I relaxed he put it down to a knee jerking reaction in my body (like when you have a dream you're falling and do that jumping thing in bed lol), I have the upmost sympathy for what you're going through, the shaking can be the worst. I found when I started on pregablin (400mg per day) my jerking stopped and the shaking subsided. It comes and goes on my bad days but I get some good Relief on the good ones.. Hope this helps in some way, if not then sorry I waffled for a while and hope it gets sorted!
