Hi Nala, I'm not sure about hormones, so I won't advise on that score, but if you are suffering so much pain and not sleeping I would urge you to see your GP and ask whether there is anything he can do to help. Could I ask if you have been referred to a pain clinic ? If not I wonder if your GP could refer you, they can be very helpful for people, giving advise on coping mechanisms and give a good amount of support.

I'm sending positive healing and hopefully sleep inducing vibes your way :-)

Foggy x

Thank you I've not been referred as yet but did see my gp and got nowhere I was only diagnosed a few weeks ago and started on a tablet that I take at night I told him I didn't feel this was helping and he told me to give it at least another month. He never had any ideas or suggestions for me or any referrals to make I felt I had wasted both his and my time xx

Hi Nala

I am so sorry to read that you are suffering in this way, and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to your problem.

I do not what role, if any, hormones can play in Fibro. Although if you are already feeling under the weather I am sure it really does not help! I think your GP would be the best person to discuss the issue with, and hopefully get a referral to a pain management clinic.

Take care and hope you feel better soon.

Hi I had the problems with sleep and having no engry found that tablets fromthe doctor and lavinder and rosemary essence oils in a warm bath put two drops of each in a cup add milk and whisk together put cold water in the bath then slowly add your hot water then relax in the bath. Also I find lavinder bag in the pillow case can help.

Ifind as extras they can help and stop the mind from working over time. But please your doctor and as the lady said ask about the pain clinic

you are in my throght and prey x

Here's an interesting article on the thyroid hormones and fibromyalgia.

Also, I feel much worse around my period, I've always had painful periods and PM symptoms. So, yes, I think hormones exacerbate fibromyalgia and are associated with it.
