Stretch marks?

Has anyone got stretch marks appearing for no reason. I had steroid trigger point injections and where I've had these I've had stretch marks come up. I've not gained or lost weight either. I had a massage today and where the injections were I've now got marks that weren't there this morning ?

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I am so sorry to read that you are having problems with stretch marks at this time.

I was wondering, do these marks appear after psychical contact? if so, do they disappear at any point? Even if it is hours after the contact? What I was wondering is could they be light bruising of some sort? Or have the injections left your skin damaged in a way that its elasticity has temporarily disappeared?

As it is difficult to imagine stretch marks without some kind of actual stretching in the area, at some point. If I were you, I think I would go and discuss this situation with my GP. As I am not a doctor and it really could be caused by so many different things, or your injections may have damaged your skin in some way?

I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution and relief to your issue, and please keep us up to date with how you get on?

My goodnes s stretch marks how horrid for you! Mine started many years ago with child birth and have gone on and on since then, I am a large lady a very large lady so mine a rather like the map of Europe. That having said there are varying creams said to be of benefit to stretch marks. I have heard, but not tried it out yet that Emu Oil works a treat this is available from Holland and B. But first do go and talk to your doctor that is always the best thing todo as I am not a health professional just passing info on to you.

Having bursitis I started getting stretch marks on my thigh where it kept getting big then small, but I have noticed them everywhere now, knees, the other thigh, stomach, chest, but I have not put weight on rapidly, or lost weight rapidly, other than my bursitis leg.

So it was a bit disheartening that at 25/26 my body looked so terrible, and every day I notice new ones or bruises. I wish I knew where they came from.

Hi emjane, I have to use steroid cream now &again, and when I read the Patient Information leaflet it said that it could cause stretch marks as it thins the skin. I don't know if it applies to steroid injections, but just thought I would mention it. Also Bio-Oil is very good for Stretch Marks. It won't take them away once you've got them, but it does fade them.

Hi everyone. Thank you for the support. I'm trying to get fitter I swim 5 times a week. And I'm starting training for a half marathon and to get back to under 10 stone. I've been eating well and doing this for 5 months. Only stretch marks have appeared. I hate the way I look and these have made me think I'm even more ugly and abnormal. Fed up.

I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? I was wondering if you are losing weight as a result of all your exercise? If so, it could be baggy skin that is creating the look of stretch marks? It may just be that you have a small amount of excess skin now?
