Today's the day
Good luck I hope it all goes well lots of hugs Sue
Good luck. Take it steady and take a break when you need one. I know it's really difficult going back after a long absence, so I really hope it goes OK for you xx
Good luck to you! I haven't worked for 8 years now and hope to be able to do some part time work one day.Hope it isn't a physical job, make sure you get lots of breaks and I hope that they are understanding xxx
Good luck with returning to work. I did after a year and it's been a struggle but am glad I did. I have found that there is very little understanding/knowledge around Fibro, so I printed some easy read stufffrom this page and gave it to my boss to read. I am hoping that this will help not only other applicants but also service users that have the condition ( I'm a Social Worker). Have you spoken to access to work? They will assess you and provide you with a contribution from your employer any equipment you might need. You come under the Disability & Equality Act so see if there is any help you can acces. Its job centre plus back to work for disabled. Hope you day goes well.
Good luck, I hope your employer is understanding and let's you take things easy at first. I wish you well.
Good luck, I really hope that you can pace yourself in such a way that makes you able to handle working. Treat yourself very gently and rest as much as you can between working. I respect and admire you for being courageous enough to make the decision to go back to work !
I'm sending lots of positive strengthening vibes your way
Foggy x
May luck be with you.
Thanks everyone for their kind wishs and excellent advice. I only did 3 hours office based work today. I was exhausted when u got home but made myself stick to my normal routine but have been awake half of the night and sm in loads of pain too. I just hope I've done the right thing in going back. Thanks again x x x
Well done trying, it is brilliant and you will only know by trying. Sorry to hear you have been awake half the night sounds like your brain was stimulated and enjoyed the challenge. May be you need a good book for through the night one that makes you nodd off - best wishes xgins
Hi, Hope work went well. I returned to work just over a year ago after over a year off. Under the Equallity Act your employees need to make reasonable adjustments for your condition. It is hard going but I'm so glad that I did it. I cannot do much else so use my DLA to pay for a cleaner and shop on line. I have a brilliant husband who cooks every night. Pace yourself that's the thing to do and I gave my employeers information on my condition of fibromyalgia as they really didn't have a clue. Well done xx Jen xx
