Hi there royalspec, I am sorry to hear that you might have this condition, can I ask if you are diabetic? I know that the two can be linked. I don't have it and don't know anyone who has.

If your diagnosis has been made early then the prognosis can be quite good, but it will mean that you have to be very careful with regards to a lot of things like shoes, walking etc., but let's not cross too many bridges before you need to. I am so sorry that you are going through this :-(

I hope your appointment to get a proper diagnosis is soon and I am sending positive and healing vibes your way !! :-)

Foggy x

I haven't heard of it sorry. From the tone of your mailing it sounds pretty serious. I hope that your doctor was mistaken.

Happy new year.

I am diabetic and have recently had neural mapping done on my legs and feet to see if my symptoms were diabetic neuropathy they weren't but it seems some of the symptoms overlap.

Id like to say ty for your kind replies. Yes Fibrofoggiest I am diabetic but where I had this lower back problem it doesn't sound to much but Edward at Biomechanics has said that this has caused the flat feet not the other way around and from the impingement on my left leg this starves the muscle of oxygen and blood so this weakens everything hence the flat feet, but recently they have become speckled and have spread from size 9 to size 11 so I guess im kinda crippling slowly and where the starvation in my leg it kinda starves the rest so is probably the cause rather that diabetes. Im type 2 and my sugars don't concern my rheumatologist at all they come out at 7 in my fasting test, so I gather this would be if it was more regularly high but I do test and usually 6.6 to 9 after lunch as low as 4.9 in the afternoon so im hoping it isn't linked or its going to be more changes and to be honest feeling rather tire of so many. well thank you again off to the hospital and maybe it wont be Charcot but just flat feet lets hope.
