Hello Gerry,
From my personal knowledge (not FibroAction) a friend of a friend does classes of EFT here in the UK. From what I understand it is essentially about learning to control your emotions to limit stress as , as we know stress response can exacerbate our symptoms. So, from my opinion if you can find you manage your emotions another way with meditation or whatever suits you it may not be of any help. I suppose it depends on the individual and whether they feel they need something to help deal with certain emotions as nothing they have tried works for them.
Learning to live with Fibro is really all about a combined approach, medications , complimentary therapies, relaxation , pacing etc. From more information please visit our website fibroaction.org
We have a Complementary Therapies Factsheet which may be of help as it is based on research. EFT has yet to be studied as far as I am aware. Please see link below for our factsheet;

I hope this helps
Emma
Thanks for your help.
Hi Gerry,
I have used it to help with my fear of the dark and it really did help. In a way it is very similar to a process called 'havening'. It really helps re-enforce positve thoughts I think. It isn't for everyone but as it's non-invasive it might be worth trying.

Hi my Doctor recommended this for me. In my opinion it is a form of distraction. You tap on different parts. There are many videos on youtube that show you exactly how to do it. For myself it did not work but they doesn't mean to say that it won't work for others.
Thanks all.+
I was taught EFT by my hypnotherapist. I can honestly say it hasn't really worked for me!! X
Am just about to start a course of eft, do not know much about it. Believe it is a form of distraction therapy, this is through the hospital.
