Hello Nissanjean,

I'm afraid we cannot give you any advice about medications so I have provided you with this link which may help from patient.co.uk who also have the Information Standard as does the NHS.

patient.co.uk/health/oral-s...

The other option if you'd like advice is to ring your Pharmacist or even 111 can help with medications advice (if really desperate) and cannot find the information anywhere else.

If I may ask have you been prescribed them for Fibro? As they are considered to be not one of the recommended treatments for Fibro. If for something else please excuse my question as it is nothing to do with me - but checking about Fibro as it may not help you if it was for this.

Hope this helps

Emma :)

Hello Nissanjean,

I am sorry we cannot help with advice regarding medications as I have mentioned but this site I've given is very good.

Anyway I wanted to provide you with a link to our FAQ section regarding Medications;

healthunlocked.com/fibroact...

You may have thought my reply was unsupportive but this is not intended. I was busy when writing trying to control my 3 year old exciting after she had been to 2 farms today with Daddy!

Can be quite distraction as you may or may not know.

Hope the link to our website information helps

Emma :)

sorry but what do you mean?

All I was asking was if anyone knew if prednisolone interfered with the INR.

I cannot find any info on this.Sorry to have bothered you.

We are not medically qualified to advise on medication and can only answer from our own experience. This is a very welcoming forum and if we can help we do so. Lou

Thanks.

I only wanted to know if anyone knew if prednisolone affected warfarin.

However I have now received an answer so sorry for being a nuisance to you all.

You are not a nuisance at all, I've had a look around and Health Unlocked has a site called Vasculitius Uk, not sure of the spelling, they may have an answer. Lou

Thanks Lou.I am fed up with being in pain and being fobbed off by drs.

I started being ill in December 2013 with headaches, throbbing pain in the right eye, sweating profusely at night, depression and sever aanxiety.

I was given three antibiotics at once by A and Edr without benefit of blood tests and chest x ray.He diagnosed pleurisy because I also had stomach pain and a stabbling pain in my right trapezius muscle.

A few days later my legs werevery cold and heavy and stiff.

I forced myself out of bed to walk and over the next few months things worsened.

I took co codamol 3 to 4 times a week for the pain having severe headache from December to late May 2014.

I started with peripheral neuropathy in January 2014 and this has also worsened making my life intolerable.

I was investigated for Lupus,chronic migraines,eye conditions,meningitis,aauto immune disease.The ans were positive 1 in 80.

The blood test for the virus that causes Glandular fever came back positive but the time of exposure could not be determined.

anyway to cut to the chase things have not really improved that much except the headaches have subsided thanks to discontinuation of co codamol albeit I only took 3 to 4 a week for a dislocated shoulder then for the headaches and gastric/muscle pain in the right trapezius muscle.

I am also taking warfarin for blood clots having had a dvt and four pe's due to HRT.

Pregabalin (Lyrica) caused a movement disorder namely cortical myoclonus so I am unable to take the usual nerve pain analgesia.

I am feeling ill with a query chest infection and have to have a VQ scan.

I have never felt so ill in my life.

How do others cope with this dreadful condition that has wrecked my life?

Hi Lou

Forgot to thank you for the web page address . I have microvascular heart disease too being diagnosed in June 2009.

Thought to be due to phenytoin and untreated hypertension.

Everything seems rather hopeless.

I presume this was for a period of 5 days which is pretty standard for chest infections. I genuinely hope that it works well for you.

Yes prednisolone can affect the INR decreasing or increasing it.

I have not detailed all the meds I am taking.

Asw I understand it fibromyalgia isuntreatable.

This is very difficult to accept.
