Hi there, when I worked as a nurse we used to have this thing that I can't remember what it was called as Fibrofog is bad lol,it extended over the end of the bed and raised the bed sheets up.Oh yes it was called a bed cradle.Iam sure you could probably purchase it from a mobility shop or maybe google it and see what comes up.Hope this helps x

Hi there,

I have just had a look on amazon for what you are after, you will find it under the heading 'blanket support' they are £19.99, there are also several different ones on ebay(brand new from ebay businesses) the prices range from about £14.99-£24.99 depending on the size and style you want, it would be worth having a look anyway. When I had a broken leg as a child I couldn't bare the weight of blankets on it, so my dad borrowed my next door neighbours fire guard! It did the trick, but, the sheets got a bit sooty in the process! Haha.

I hope this helps you......not the fire guard bit obviously.x

Wishing you warm and comfy legs very soon. x

I know but you have helped. I'm getting one as I can't stand the weight of a newspaper on my knee that's how sore it is and I'm sure I will be better when I get one .I also got shin splints because of weight on my toes and they hurt too.x

Your poor legs! Shin splints can be so painful, my dad suffered from them too! Hopefully this blanket guard will give you some much needed relief from the pain.

Fingers crossed xxx

Hi Matrix, now how odd is this, I kept a House of Bath catalogue for some reason and in it I had noticed exactly what you are wanting. It is a sheet and blanket support, no doubt duvet too. it is 19" high and is a plastic coated metal frame and costs £8.75. You can order it online ...houseofbath.co.uk or by phone 0871 9849852. The item reference number is UW326RQ

Hope this is of some help
