Hiya ....no I haven't gone off any food... Pity about that !!!

I'm eating more than ever and getting fatter than ever - I can't control my consumption of food these days....my self control is registering zero just lately :-(

I hope you get your appetite back very soon :-)

Hi Bearess, thank you for your reply. I have trouble eating different foods particularly as I also have IBD and that makes it harder again. I can't eat much spicy food anymore which I love. I just literally can't eat a roast dinner. I have maybe 3-4 mouthfulls and then I'm bawking....like i'm going to be sick. Never had that before so just wondered if it hd hppened to others and if its a fibro thing. Thanks again for your reply. Gentle fibro hugs to you xxx

Hi Morwenna, thank you for your reply. I'm okay with meat on other things. Such as sandwiches and general meals for dinner/tea. I only eat brown bread now as with my IBD I can't eat white bread. Thank you so much for your reply. Gentle fibro hugs to you xxx

Hi anbuma. Thank you for your reply. That's also the other thing I've noticed is portion control. I have two children and I ask my husband to give me the same size portion as what they have as I can only eat a small amount. I used to love roast dinners, don't know what I'll do for christmas this year. I'll end up with a sandwich lols. Thanks again for your reply. Gentle fibro hugs to you. xxx

Meat and some processed foods make me ill, so that I've become a vegetarian. I can eat salmon and tuna. I can tolerate eggs as long as it's with something else. It seems my body just doesn't like many things I used to love anymore.

Hi Naustin, thank you so much for your reply. I think that might be the problem with myself. I've simply just gone off foods that I used to love and can't eat them anymore :( shame really. I can eat Tuna though so have that with a jacket potato normally. Thanks again for your reply. Gentle fibro hugs to you xxx

Hi Shirldeanne. Thank you so much for your reply. I'm so glad that I'm not alone in feeling this way. I don't want to though. I only have small portions now which is a shame as I love food normally. I just have to remember what my body no longer likes. Thanks again for your reply. Gentle fibro hugs to you xxx

I avoid any food or drink that contains the artificial sweetener aspartame as it has caused me to multiply Fibro pain off the pain scale for about 24 hours. It is banned in the U.S.A. and in Greece. It was common in soft drinks (diet) but seems to be replaced by other artificial sweetener. Just check the ingredients before buying. Also common in trifles and sweet cakes.

Hi timj53, thank you so much for your reply. I avoid that stuff aswell. I read a huge article about that sweetner and I don't drink diet drinks. I mostly drink water. That sweetner is so dangerous I don't think people fully understand the dangers of it all. Thanks again for your reply. Gentle fibro hugs to you xxx

hi all

has anyone been referred to a dietitcian or advised about their diet by a GP.mine has never said anything except when i told him what I had had fro a meal the day I saw him he said "dont eat mashed potato that can cause problems"

babebatista in reply toanbuma

HI anbuma, I asked my doctor about seeing a dietician because if how much my eating has changed but she said that I'm not eligible because even though I'm only eating small amounts I'm eating the right things, vegetables and salad mainly. Didn't know about mashed potato though. Shame because the kids love it when I pop a bit of cheese into ours and we have cheesy mash. xxxx

Hi Scareymary, thanks for replying to me. I know what you mean. I hardly eat anymore and don't lose any weight, it goes on instead! Makes life so difficult. I've gone to smaller plates at home now, but I can't get over how I can feel full after just a couple of bites to eat. My doctor says its because I'm not as active now as I once was, but it's very difficult to live like this and seeing your body change you from being an avid walker to hardly being able to walk at all. Grrr horrible Fibro, M.E. and a nerve condition. Just want them to go away. Gentle hugs xxx

Hey there

I'm in my early teens and was really sick with Influenza A around May this year. I was out of it for two weeks and it was really horrible. I lost quite a lot of weight and ever since I've lost my appetite for anything really. I've gone off chocolate and any kind of confectionary, and even some steak and chops and barbecue meats affect me. I've also been diagnosed with migraines and some foods can set me off. It's never happened before being sick. My mum is worried that I'm either overreacting or have got an eating disorder but I still love food! I just feel horrible when I eat it 😅

Is there any actual explanation for this problem or what?

Thanks!
