Omg! This is a bad one! Just started a new job so this will go down well! Had an app with rheumatology today and was confirmed that I have fibro.

Hi guys! Not been on here for a while...have been feeling ok ish... Fibro is back!
Hi there, sorry for the delay in replying. How rough it must be for you to have just started a new job and then get the confirmation of your Fibro. You've had concerns previously about the ability to work and have fibro, many of us have had to give it up, but as Fibro effects everyone in a different way, it may be that you are able, at least for some time, to continue doing so depending on the physical demands of the work.
I am so pleased that you have now got a rheumy on board, did he change or give you more/different meds ? I hope that he may also have referred you for a pain management course ?
I'm sorry not to give you more specific advice, but you know you can always come here and people will help where they can. Am sending good wishes your way, and hang in there, you may still be able to work, if that is what you want, for some time yet.
Foggy x
How can I afford to stop working......oh god this is awful today x
Oh I'm so sorry, I think I've made thinks worse for you, which certainly wasn't my intention It most certainly isn't easy trying to get through the ESA palaver, but if your health dictates that work is no longer possible then maybe you could contact your CAB and get some info from them as to where to go from here. Get some backup letters from your GP and your rheumy which may help. Sorry, I won't say more now for fear of making things worse for you, but know we are here to help, if we can ...... Sorry
Foggy x

hi there. Loraine here. sorry to hear you're feeling so sore... lousy timing with your new job. know how you feel. just did a 12 hour night shift on sunday night in a nursing home(heavy ,tiring work) and the pain around 3am was CRIPPLING!! I literally felt as though my wrists were dislocating. I have a habit of also staying awake for up to 40hrs straight each week so I have probably to a certain extent only have myself to blame. please be honest with your employer about your limitations and if you even give them some easy to read literature helping them to understand how you will have good and bad days.
